no I'm being serious. I knew a guy who is in release mgmt, and he worked at the water plant where they separate the bodily stuff from water. Mario, I apologize if I am wrong.

    HAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!

    I didn't know rednecks owned Ferrari's.......hahahahaha!!!!!!
Being an original pure bred Italian I was always told this....
Better to remain silent and be though as a fool then open your mouth and remove all doubt !!!!

Hope you guys have a good sense of humor because mine is as dry as burnt tire tracks !!! Hahaha!!!!

Actually, release management in the technology world is managing testing efforts that are coordinated by project managers when regression testing is done for the project they are working on and will be implemented (for rednecks…testing on existing software/systems to make sure nothing is “broken”) or new functionality (new systems changes or just plain new software/systems).

In short, I make sure all project managers and their testers are on schedule, if they have issues or defects, I coordinate the efforts with the coders and tech guys to make sure it gets resolved before the major install or also called a Release. So as an example if I have a release happening in July, I manage all the project usually between 20 to 50 projects with a total costs in the millions.

So on the Monday morning of the major install, all still works, system/software modifications for our company are online and ready to go and all end users didn’t know the difference. 3 to 6 months of planning, testing, coordinating fixes and installs all come into one. I work for a major international bank in Canada and im responsible for the entire process for all of Canada. All our systems worldwide, Canada, US, UK and Spain are all on one major network….so it has to work or it can affect the banking services worldwide.

No worries, as long as you can laugh....im good, no offence taken !!!!

Simon, its really easy, lets say your a tester for Microsoft Word. A project manager will come up to you and say "My new project will incorporate a new international dictionary and a better selection of icons on the toolbar” So you do regressions testing = Word still works as its suppose to and doesn’t crash because someone didn’t do the changes right so when you click on “check spelling” word doesn’t crash and you also test all functions of Word to make sure they didn’t screw up anything else in Word.

New functionality would be….adding excel and word into one software from now on and the project manager says it will replace both independent software’s….so test everything and try to find anything that’s broken…

Working on it, I just became a member last night and got access today. Only problem was trying to get online from work but the word Chat in the name of the site blocked my outside access.

I have been trying for 8 months to buy one and they are all shady or missing too much stuff, no history, or no tools. I have seen some with serious freaky interior colors only modified by dumbass owners

I saw a 91 348 with tan seats, black dash, tan console, looks good...but hey wait a minute....bright red floor carpet but fire wall carpet was tan. Then the doors had tan leather handle/door console with upper in black but the bottom of the door was black !?!?!?!?!?!?! It was all mix matched…..just stuff like that…others are full price but 30K not done and has 45K on it….yeah right, like im going to buy that. Another…..the fruitcake owner had nitrous installed ?!?!?!?! ummm hello ? nitrous on a Ferrari….get your head examined….three other dealers refused I drive them or have a PPI done…even with a 20k certified cashiers cheque. So I guess they are going to stay on the lot. Travel on a 4 hour flight, drive 5 hours and get told that….you get upset.

Im looking for a 91 and up 348 TS….the search goes on. Since they are rare in Canada, there are only a few around and travel is a must….its hard.

    Thanks Bernardo....

Montreal....I always burn a few red lights downtown when I go....just cant seem to get used to the traffic lights being on the corner of the street instead of up above…

Im in Gatineau, 5 miles from downtown Ottawa…..

Hey...welcome to FChat! Lots of great folks here.

Interestingly, not too long ago, a forum Moderator offered a $100 reward if anyone could produce (in hardcopy) a direct quote of Enzo Ferrari having ever said that line in your signature. He did this because it's iterated quite frequently (the words are always tweeked a bit one way or another), yet nobody ever knew the origin. At any rate, as far as I know he still has his $100.

I heard it from my uncle who lives in Italy (Calabria) who is on his 4th Ferrari. Now verifying the origine would be hard since "The Man" has passed ! All I know from my uncle is it's because of the racing heritage where engine specs were the only important thing not the car...back in the late 40's, 50's and 60's
