New to New York/Car Show Invitation

Hello

My name is Alex Berman, I’m from Orange County, California. I am a freshman at Morrisville State College in New York to get my Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive Technology. I just wanted to introduce myself to the New York Section of Ferrari Chat in hopes of making some connections out here. I have had an interest in automobiles since I was very little. I’ve been pretty active In the Southern California section and elsewhere on Ferrari Chat. Back home I often went to Cars & Coffee Irvine and a few other car shows.

I would also like to extend an invitation to a car show the Automotive Department is putting on during our parent’s weekend on Saturday October 4. From what others have told me they usually expect about one hundred cars to show but I would really appreciate it if we could get more cars to come out especially exotic cars. Drive in is at noon and I’m going to guess you can leave whenever you want and there is no charge to show your car. I don’t have many details on what else will be going on during the show besides that we might be running our chassis dynamometer on any car that comes in.

I know I haven’t provided many details on the show but I will get all that I can tomorrow and post it here.

I'm in Morrisville, NY about 10 miles from Colgate University and 30 miles south of Syracuse. Unfortunatly, the car show I'm trying to gather support for is one day only, October 4. I'm sure if there is a high enough demand for a Cars & Coffee type event in this part of New York someone on here could start it or I can try to talk to some of the Faculty and see if there is any possibility of a Cars and Coffee each Saturday hosted on the campus but I'm not sure if that is feasible. I do have to admit if that could happen it would be a really awesome event.

But if there are people on here willing to bring their exotic cars or something unique to show at our car show please let me know.

This is happening this coming saturday. Is there anyone that would be intersted in bringing out their cars for a good cause? It doesnt cost anything to show off your car and at the end of the day we will be giving out awards. From what I've heard they usually get around 75 cars. I would really like it if some of the guys on here would be able to show up and push that number way over 100. We'll have food and refreshments for anyone that comes by. People around here arent used to seeing exotics and it would be really nice to open their eyes to these amazing machines. Even if you dont have an exotic to bring down stop by anyways we would love to have you show off your car.

Use 90 Eaton Street Morrisville, NY if you want to scope out your drive. I'll get the exact address to the auto building for all of you to use but that is what the schools website says to use.

That's what I was worried about. Do you know anyone who might be interested around here? From your name, I'm going to guess your car is a BMW, what kind of BMW are we going to miss out on? I'm a big BMW fan myself.

 

No problem thanks for the consideration. That's what I was worried about, most of the people on here living in and around NYC. Hopefully there will be atleast a few people on here within reasonable distance willing to show off their car.
