Just wanted to say hi as i'm new the FerrariChat. My name is Paul, Turbo QV on here is my uncle. I have been a long time Ferrari lover ever since I got to sit in an F-40 at a historic race in Luguna Seca when I was a kid ( 8 years old or so) still my favorite car. I am a SSgt. in the USAF and a B-1b Lancer Crew Chief, I have been in for 6 and will be getting out in a little more than a year to start my Pilot career.
I have been working on cars and planes since high school, built mutiple sub 9, 10, and 11 second drag cars over the last few years and my favorite project (not counting Turbo QV) an 800+hp mustang cobra to compete in the Texas mile. I have done a few projects for Turbo QV's 308 ( Brembo brakes, and swaybars ) and will be doing his supension project shortly. I am currently addicted to sportbikes, and once I get going with my new career would love to get a Ferrari of my own to start working on, nothing stays stock in my hands for very long :). I look forward to talking with you all in the future.

Not yet, but I have a lot of unloged hours stealing free rides with friends. Will be going to all ATP's when I get out. Glad to meet another future pilot out there ( someone has to take over for all the grey hairs flying around !) Are you thinking about it as a career?

If I can get a spot in flight school through OCS after I graduate this year then definitely.

I'll also be upgrading my motorcycle permit to a full license this spring, we have much to discuss.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Ferrari's are the favorites of course, I'm also a huge 5.0 Mustang fan. As for bikes Duc's are the passion, but since I log 7,000mi every three months on my bike they will have to wait (don't have spare time to take care of one now) Right now I have a Yamaha YZF600R, got her new 4 months ago and am already up to 7,500mi. due to my commute 5 days a week. On the plus side a Sportbike is the Only way to get around So Cal!

    Welcome Paul,
Be careful on the bike so you can enjoy many many more day's of messing around with Fcar's. Other than serious roadrash, cut's and puncture's, I'm lucky the only thing I lost in my motorcycle accident is my right hand's 'booger pickin' finger lol !

Thanks for the welcome paul, and every one else. Really looking forward to working on Turbo QV....It's been a couple months since I have been able to get my hands dirty.

As for that hand pic Texasmr2, glad your O.K. Your wreck must have been horible. I know it is dangerous as hell, espicialy riding around in L.A. traffic and its a risk you have to be willing to make to enjoy riding, We are only 12X more likely to die than in a car....thats not to bad right :)

Can anyone explain how losing half your finger is funny, because I'm completely stumped over here.

It get's me quite abit "Oh you poor thing" sympathy from the honey's and children get the biggest laugh when I act like I'm scratching my 'brain' or 'pickin and grinnin'.
Anyway if I can laugh about it now 'ferraridude615' all is ok, right?

Sorry for going O/T in your thread 'Crew Dawg' and hope you have a great weekend bro!

    600R is a fine thing.

    Great bike.

In the real world better than an R6 for sure.
