    I just received my new OCLV carbon Trek Madone yesterday. One of the most beautiful bikes I have ever seen down to every detail including the wonderful "Halo" paint. Light as a feather & built to race. Almost as exciting as a new car. What cool stuff have you bought lately (not auto related)?

    My friend has a couple Madone's and loves them. I still have stayed with my Italian Colnago C-50.

    I bought an 06 Ducati S2R Monster..finally arrived yesterday..I'll do the PDI on monday and then hit the streets.

    Here's my Richard Sachs I bought from a guy who races on his cyclocross team. It's NOS from 1987 that sat in a Boston bike shop for 18 years unbuilt and unridden. The geometry is pretty racy (the fork rake is around 55mm) which makes for a very quick handling bike. Love how it rides and despite its age, is a hell of a lot more fun and comfortable than the many titanium, aluminum, etc...bikes I've ridden over the years.

    I had one of the original OCLV's back in '93, a TREK 5200 in Lunar Blue. I actually got hit by a truck on mine and nothing happened to the frame!! I'll never doubt carbon fibers' strength again.
