I did buy a NEW TPS for a 328 via a website and received it some days later. When testing it, it gave no result at all....between contacts, there was no connection. Strange for a new sensor.
So did open it gently to find 1 of the solder points bad.
After soldering it again, tested it again with good results.

I glued the cover back on, so its water proof again.
So, no panic when things ar'nt working at first glance....

Curious what was the brand? Probably all made by the same supplier these days.

Italian brand Meat&Doria...but the website of this company says that the art.nr 83027 is no longer in production. Looking at the paper box, this was sitting ages on a shelf somewhere.

Great post, thank you for the reminder. "New" does not always mean "good". I have had my share of "out of box failures" on car parts...and other parts for that matter.
