Evening ladies & gents, We are just venturing into 308 GTB ownership. It is a recently imported American example. Is anyone aware of how we can attempt to trace any history of the car such as checking the original colour, number of owners in may had, what location the car originates from and what states it may have spent its life so far in? Any ideas how to attempt to trace this would be much appreciated. Thanks all, Carly
Ferrari can verify the original color, but you may have to join their website for some $ amount to get the info. Other than the original importer/dealer, which may be available thru Ferrari, the rest of that info is not available from any govt source. Best you can do is post a serial number here and see if anyone knows anything, or Google the SN and see if anything pops up. Doug
You could always try CarFax - it won't tell you the original color, but it will tell you all the rest . . .
If I am reading your post correctly you have a a US version imported to somewhere else (no location listed). If that is the case you will not get info from any government agency due to privacy laws. As already mentioned listing the serial number and description (color & any options etc.) will yield the best results. BTW, welcome to the forum.
