I was expecting something hypercar-ish, but that was before seeing the spy shots. As I said I struggle to see a spaceship under the cover, so right now I'm expecting a way more conservative design. I just hope it's good and a bit more unique than the Battista.
sorry, that was a partial thought I forgot to remove, was going to write that there are very few if any electric cars that are full convertibles, there is the original Tesla roadster, and I was going to wonder if the frame/chassis can sustain an open top with the significant weight of the battery packs (torsional rigidity may be a problem without a lot of reinforcement), but, I simply forgot to remove that partial reply
Ahahah OK I spent a few seconds trying to figure out what you wanted to say. I told myself my english must not be good enough
OK, but, if you continue the insinuation for definition of the reference mid-term then realize the whole-term is 2018-2022 (based on last year's capital markets day presentation by Ferrari) so mid-term would imply only through 2020! Based on that it would appear the V12 family will no longer be part of regular production...(i.e. post mid-term)
If the V12 is to remain NA then how in the world will they keep up with horsepower gains of the competition Think Lieters is pulling a Luca and denying the incoming product until it arrives
and speaking of incoming product does the unseen elegant GT coupe replace the current 812 but with a V8 now instead of a V12 that made the 812 more special? With it's smaller horsepower rating the GT coupe would then rank below BB.
That's possible. By the way, It would be interesting to know if the '20/'21 elegant GT replaces the Lusso or not.
i would like to see future ferrari mid-engined supercar/hypercar design like this.. low, wide, large wheels and with fighter jet canopy style roof. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Nice shape - who's design? Front looks a bit like I "scribbled" on a copy of my last sketch to imagine a "pointier" nose. Apologies for the scribbles. As I mentioned in a previous post, these low slung cars look great but having sat in a LaF, I don't know how these cars can be driven in the road. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The way I see it, the new SUV/FUV will open up a new segment in Ferrari's lineup and they might want to keep a 4 seater in the GT class too. The new FR architecture is made for 2, 2+, 2+2 and 4 seats so I'm sure they won't have any problem in covering all grounds. That being said, and to answer my previous question, the elegant GT is classified as "an addition to the GT family", so It won't replace any existing model.
That’s a Ferrari Design. Was displayed in the new Centro Stile during the Monza World Premiere. Watch at 0:21 sec:
If Ferrari follows market trend/demand, they won't offer BOTH an SUV and 4 seater.... For example: https://www.wsj.com/articles/america-has-fallen-out-of-love-with-the-sedan-1535169698
But what they have said indicates both a V6 or V8 FUV as an entirely new segment, and an "elegant" V12 2+2 in keeping with their heritage. Ferrari has never sold many 2+2's. Just over 500 GTC/4's for example, and about 1,400 456M's. Enzo was adamant they should make them regardless.
Agree, I would say just one: it will be the raised side new four seater car. Very likely with an hybrid V6, but it's hard to predict as the car at present doesn't exhist even on the PC ciao
The elegant GT 2+2 is supposed to be a V12 that tops the range of front engine cars in terms of price and options, like the 456M was more expensive than the 575M with all the options. The Porto coupe will be more entry level (And I may rather have that, who knows).
is this new Maserati a cousin of BB also built on the same new versatile aluminum space frame? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Click on 'Report' in the bottom left corner and explain the problem and then a moderator may be able to solve the problem you are experiencing. The picture opens when I view the attachment which of course doesn't help you. Good Luck getting this problem solved for yourself!
or could it spin off from the new Maserati 2 + 2 program? Remember how the Ferrari California was created in the first place...
