Sold our place in Mammoth (Purchased in 2004). To far for the grandkids and family to travel. Purchased property in Big Bear adjacent to Metcalf Bay. Building a 4 bedroom, 3 bath two story with roof deck. Will start next spring. This will be a modular build. Looking forward to the shorter travel distance and longer weekends away. The landscaping does not reflect the final landscape plan.

Wow... that will be cool! Blind your neighbors on a sunny day to boot - how fun is that?

Oh, that's dreamy! Great choice on the choice of design. If you could describe the nature of the modular beast, it would be appreciated.

Are you considering closing in the carport to make it a garage, just for car protection?

Went to an open house last week in Yucca Valley. You can see this on line. They have developed a structural system which saves time and money along with great detailing and an exterior wall system that achieves an R-Value of 24 and more. Many great ideas. I have them developing me a structural 3D along with an estimate. I will provide when it is complete. Very excited.

That's great! Modular is definitely the way to go...I'm sure they will be using SIPs. They are a lot of fun to watch build because the whole structure can go up in just a day or so with the help of a crane. I am interested in hearing LOTS of details about this project....it's a very nice aesthetic! I wonder how they will handle the air interchange.

Blue Sky Homes seems like are putting out a great product... I was looking at them when shopping for a building lot that I was interested in, but found a home to remodel instead.... a little easier with all of the hoops to jump thru in NorCal... Can't wait to see your photos and progress !
