Since someone flagged me as spam last time, i'll just post the direct link to the video: www.lightfactory.tv/NYMC.mov (quicktime) www.lightfactory.tv/NYCM.wmv (windows media)
Certainly not what I would call spam. But, NO OFFENSE (cool?) .... what I saw would make me reluctant to drive w/u all. Regards, Richard.
It is a sweet video. There are a few fchatter's in this video such Vitalli - Millenium Edition Lamborghini Diablo Roadster newyorkmotorclub -White with Blue Stripes Ford GT emanasce - Aston Martin Vanquish JAYF - Ferrari Testorossa
a longer, five minute version should be ready to post by early-mid january. our production guys are hard at work out in colorado getting that done for us, as well as doing a full length one that will be sent to the participants on the run. expect that to be about 30-40 minutes long. Hey evan, you forgot to mention me and my in-vanquish cam (as well as bouncing off the rev limiter in the beginning and RAllen- no one was ticketed, injured, nothing broke, and no one got lost for more than a few seconds, but it can get a little crazy when the mob mentality takes over and there's cameras in your face.
Not sure what that reference was to, it was the most organized, well planned run I have ever been on and everyone in the run drove sanely and stuck together ( except for vitalli who raced the 2 bikes-that was an amazing sight) without any incident.
Yes, it did look like fun w/a nice showing of cars .... and it was well produced, IMHO. Ies; Clear audio/video. Now, I don't want to ruffle any feathers but i've particitpated in one (first and last w/that group and they were a GREAT bunch of guysNgals) club drive which left a bad taste in my mouth. And I started wondering about what folks might think when they see a group of cars *tearing up the asphalt* on public roads. Not to mention one's insurer. And others (ie; cops?). Consider a not unreasonable (methinks) scenario: One of us posts a vid showing excessive speeds, smoking tires, etc. At some point that person's involved in a traffic accident and is sued. Said vid comes back to haunt. Your thoughts? Regards, Richard.
Cool. I didn't think so. Understood. <chuckle> I do hope that you don't consider my replies herein an admonishment to NOT make and post vids. I do enjoy them. Regards, Richard.
Gosh, I really enjoy those kind of vids and I don't want to pick it/them apart. Just keep in mind that whatever one posts on the Net may last a looong time and be viewed (ie; interpreted) by millions. Please read my previous reply (above) and if you need clarification I think it's best if we do so thru PM so as not to continue the threadjack and/or upset anyone. Sure. W/o incident .... this time? <sigh> And I bet that "vitalli" is one of the nicest persons I could ever hope to meet (seriously, no sarcasm). And, of course, i've been guilty of similar .... ahem .... misconduct, in the past. Although not against bikes. FYI; we (sportbike nuts that we were <chuckle>) used to purposefully look for "fast" cars when I was younger just to smoke them. Big Time!!! Then I discovered track days and nothing's been the same since. ;-) I'll close w/the thought that these kind of vids might entertain just as much while not showing speeding, tire smoke, aggressive driving, etc, on public roads? Your thoughts? BTW, no .... i'm not an "HPDE Snob." Regards, Richard.
Richard You seem quite misinformed. Not once did I or the group of cars around me go over the 65mph mark. In fact my wife was in the car with me, and she would not tolerate reckless driving. Like I said before nearly everyone drove sanely including vitalli 99% of the time. Nobody in our group made other motorists feel threatened. If you bought your F-car to drive like a little school girl, that is well and good, however most people like to actually "drive" their exotics. BTW also take into account the editing of the clip, there are points where the cars appear to be going faster than they are, that would be called great cinematography. You dont actually think that they are going 100mph in car chases in the movies , do you? BTW -The Lambo smoked the bikes
Thanks for sharing the video Matt I enjoyed it! Looking forward to the next clip as well. I would have loved to see that . What does he have in his Lambo?
Is the New York Motor Club based in Harrison? I drive by a place there every day that has that sign above the door. I though it was a detailer though.
I live 1/2 mile down the road on harrison ave. You guys look like you do a good job on some (well, all I am sure) of those cars. Had a couple nice ones in there on monday, when I walked by to check out the "Christmas House"' down the street from you. Maybe I will stop by next time.
Very well put together video. In regards to the Millennium Edition that car has so much motor work done to it (Thanks to Arena Motors in NJ) the list would take forever to tell you guys what was done to it. To the gentlemen who is not to happy with all of us in the video. I guess you can't please everybody and 99% of the time we did drive the speed limits however, driving fast is not driving reckless for those of us who are professional drivers. I put no one in danger including all of the other drivers and participants. The reckless drivers most of the times are inexperienced and reckless and trying to act like they have something to prove (thats all crotch rocket riders why do you think they have them) I have nothing to prove because I am Vitalli , and by the way, on and off the track I have the BADDEST lamborghini out there. We all might get a little out of control sometimes but do you know why ??? That's because we can...
I did out run EVERYTHING out on the road with speeds of over 175... Hell, I hit over 150 on the Bear Mountian Bridge.. And again you know why ???? Cause I can
Yea he is pretty ****ing cool! I got to ride with him for about 1 hour to the top of Bear Mountain. I have to say he is a very skilled driver and has a good eye for stuff. When he was driving he did not endanger any drivers at all since he knows better but Vitalli you probably have the sickest Lambo around! Have you ever blown up a girls skirt from revving the engine with those straight pipes? You are the MAN!!!!!! Keep it pimpin
Bear mountain bridge is a no more then a quarter mile long with a rock face at one end and a circle and toll booth at the other. Now either hes lying about doing 150 on the bridge or hes a complete nut job for even attempting that.
