I can see where you get the CLS idea. Overall I like it.

Why so blatantly CLS, I wonder? This is more of what you expect from predictable Japanese "me too!" 'styling'.

I like the styling but it will not get you very far if it's in the shop all the time. My VW Passat experience was the worst car ownership experience ever. VW products are junk and the attitude of VW NoA is toward thier customers is poor.

I like it, VW seem to do interiors very well. I have no experience with them, but are the VW dealers really as bad as what is written about them considering how tight the auto market is?

Looks good - I suppose the CLS is the benchmark for 4-door design now, so not a bad target to 'borrow' from.

I don't really care for the new VW sedan/coupe ...

I believe VW doesn't carry the image and the devils in the details.

Its way better than what the current Passat looks like.

My VW has been awesome so far. 126,000 miles. You must have had a bad build or something. The VW dealership service departments do suck however. Prices are really horrible, and their attitudes suck.

It's not going to be the Passat, its going to be called CC, thats all.

I like the Jetta GLI, but the CC looks good.

Hear you. I was a VW fan, owned two new,two used, still like their cars but would never subject myself into owning another. VWoC ever unhelpful, car quality lamentable in every respect and warranty ? Not worth the print. One car left me literally stranded in the middle of nowhere 6 months after purchase due to a major problem (a problem I was concerned enough with to have taken the car to a VW dealer before my trip for a thorough misdiagnosis). VWoC's major concern? Splitting on the cost of the rental. n/j.

It is an extra version of the Passat called Passat CC, a 4-door coupe next to the regular sedan and combi like Mercedes CLS versus E

I had the oil sludge problem with my Passat which is very common. I did get 129,000 miles out of the 1.8 T motor due to frequent Synthetic oil changes. Most of the motors went at 30,000 -40,000 miles. Tons of other problems like electrical glichs made the car a real nightmare. VW could not fix it 1/2 the time and I ended up finding the problems for them. I loved the way it drove and handled. But I had a 70's Renault that was more relaible and had better dealer service and support.
