Well now there are some visual changes happening... The face of TDM is changing with the new issue coming in January. We have been finding that the book stores have been dumping us into the "Regional" area instead of the Transport (ie Car) area. We hope this will help increase the counter sales....

Feedback is always welcome...the new and the old "look"

Nice look. I noticed at several places like Barnes & Noble that it was in regional, near the likes of D Magazine.

Has anyone ever brought up calling it just, "Texas Driver" and lose the 'Magazine?' Would there be confusion? I'm not being facetious - it would cut a good 1/4" or more off of the masthead.

well personally i think calling a magazine BLABLABLA MAGAZINE is somewhat redundant I would think that people looking at a magazine would make the leap that it is a magazine but what do i know

Exactly. It seems like the British are the only ones who "get" short, succinct magazine titles: CAR, EVO, etc. Here they have to have at least two-word names, and maybe an ampersand - Car and Driver, Road & Track, Motor Trend...

I'm in favor of the original look. It has more class & style, the new proposed style seems a bit loud for my tastes & looks to occupy more cover space.

    Just my .02¢

Just FWIW, TDM has been with the normal car mags at both Barnes and Noble and Hastings.

I would agree with the above position that "magazine" is unnecessary. The fact that Publication is included in the sub-line further negates the need for "Magazine". Texas Driver is nice and clean.

I agree that the term 'magazine' is redundant. I also agree that focusing on the 'driver' aspect easily keeps it sorted on the newsstands.

    Easy enough to fix:

Also FWIW, the Barnes and Noble in Cedar Hill has it in the "Lifestyle" section. Not just a misplaced copy, there were a handful of them.
