I know it's overhyped and over-priced. But what are you fellas drinking this year? Spare no details!

wellcome drink: Perrier Jouet Belle Epoque (don't know the vintage)

for entree 1: scallops with cantrells and mozzarella: Taittinger 2004 Brut Millesieme

for entree 2: tuna carpaccio with a thai sesam glaze: too spicy so we decided on Singha beer over a dry Gewurztraminer from Alsace

main: double marinated wagyu beef : Corton-Clos de Roi 1999

dessert: not involved in that one

I'm going to try to get some scallops going. I have some Belle Epoque for my friends. PJ is a very underrated champagne. I think it's almost unbeatable for the price. I've been buying 2002 Belle Epoque from a guy for under $70 a bottle. Plus I found a magnum of 95 for 149 at the local store. Unbelievable price. I'm going to drown myself in a bottle of Krug and some 99 Dom Perignon. I'd prefer to be drinking Bolly but I went through all of it on christmas eve.

We had my parents and some close friends over...

Standing rib roast, yorkshire pudding, carrotts parsnips & peas & mushrooms with parmesan and white truffles...

washed it all down with Penn Asher Pinot noir, and at midnight toasted with Krug Champagne.

I had my Krug for the second time and had Dom immediately afterward. No comparison. Krug trumped it in every way shape and form. Delectable stuff!
