I tried to get a 2004 Gallardo inspected (emissions) today and the "OBD monitor readiness status" noted the following: evaporative system, secondary air system, oxygen sensor, oxygen sensor heater --- ALL (of them), "not ready". Has anyone had this happen with the N.Y.S. inspection ??? How to solve ?? The car was driven over 30 miles before the inspection, so it was at normal operating temp.
how long since the battery was last disconnected? it will take up to 100 miles or more for the ecu to check the status of everything. other wise it shows 'not ready'. its so you cant just disconnect the battery and reset the ecu to clear any check engine lights right before you get an inspection
I would talk to forum members "Ghost" or "Noahlh" They are both from NY and have Gallardos so I'm sure they know what to do to pass inspections.
The battery has never been disconnected, but it is continually on a battery tender when not driving. Think that has any effect ?? P.S. I have had the car since new in 2004. This is the first OBD II inspection it required, the previous ones were "safety only".
