    My niece will be studying at the University of Waikato this coming semister (Feb-July). I am looking for someone in the area to use as a local friend/contact. I would like to be able to give her a contact name and phone number in case she needs someone local for help. Thank you in advance.

    Not sure if he will want to help, but im pretty sure james_nz ( or similar ), who is active in this forum, lives in Hamilton. He may be able to help in other areas though.

    One question, why is she studying in Hamilton?

    She wants to study for one semister in a foreign country. Her requirement was it had to be english based country. This is the country she chose.

    I met James_NZ when I lived in New Zealand. As far as I know he's still living in the Waikato region.

    I lived and worked in Hamilton from 2000 to 2006. Although I'm now living on the edge of Sydney, I can tell her which areas to avoid living in in Hamilton.
