Pagani, makers of one of the hottest supercars on the planet, have now built an all-out track version called the Zonda R. The Zonda R is not a racer, but rather like the Ferrari FXX, it was built without regard to any rules package. The customer who initially commissioned it just wanted the fastest possible toy to play with on track days and with a 750hp engine derived from the Mercedes CLK GTR powerplant, that shouldn't be much of a problem.

While it looks somewhat like the road-going Zonda F, it only shares 10% of it's parts and has a 47 mm longer wheelbase. The bodywork is optimized for down force, with a longer splitter, larger rear defuser, and more substantial rear wing, among other changes. At somewhere north $1.2 million, this is one exceedingly rare and pricey toy.

Lamborghini has a race car its called the RGT.

Ferrari needs to build a race ready Enzo, iam talking GT1 style~! screw the F-430 challenge I want the Enzo in GT1 dammit!.

 

They have and last year it won the FIA GT 1 Championship. It's badged as a Maser but it's Enzo based.

That said I agree it would be great to see it race at Le Mans but as the ACO has banned it that won't be happening.

Pretty cool about the RGT winning in China.

 

NO I WANT TO SEE A FERRARI ENZO, NOT A MASERATI MC12 BUT THE ENZO~!. Iam telling if Ferrari had their flagship car out there they would be kicking some ass!. I garentee they will put fans in the stands like the Mclaren F1 did back in the 90's.

Iam glad that there some progress with the Lamborghini race team somewhere. It was really disapointing that they where losing in the american lemans series, LeMans24 hours, and the JGTC(Which I think is a very biaist racing series) and at least lamborghini is now showing how competive they can be in FIA.
