First post here, I looked around and hope this is a good spot for this question. If not please direct me elsewhere or the mod can move it. I don't yet own a Ferrari but the FF/Lusso really intrigues me so I'm starting down a path to see what I can find. This is why I choose here to ask this, tech Q&A might be better, IDK.

I really prefer to do all my own work on my vehicles. I did at one time make my living working on performance cars, have my own home lift, etc. but modern Ferrari would certainly be new to me. If the vast majority of all maintenance and mechanical repairs are within the realm of reasonable possibility this would go a long way with me towards deciding to buy one.

With my current cars I have digital technical manuals, software that let's me get into all the systems to diagnose, reset, program, etc., and software for tuning, logging, etc.. Is there a reasonably available and capable version of manuals and software for these cars? If so could you please point it out to me? Does Ferrari discourage owner DIY with locked computers, limited computer access, proprietary software, special tools, and limited parts availability? Is there a strong enough secondary market and community to make this reasonable?

Remember, Ferrari only manufactured about 5000 units between the FF and Lusso so there is very little data out there for us to find.

I have a workshop manual for an FF but have yet to find one for a Lusso.
