I'm a newbie still deciding between going with 355 spider 3 pedal or 360 spider 3pedal. I really appreciate all the opinions and insight that's available here. Living in the Chicago area, I've realized that I may have to look out of state in order to find the right vehicle. I would be interested in dealer feedback from anyone who has purchased a vehicle from Marshall Goldman. They seem to have a pretty good selection of vehicles. Does Marshall Goldman allow PPI's? Any recommendations for mechanics in Cleveland who can conduct a PPI at MG? Thanks in advance!

I agree. The 360 is a departure from the 355. The 360 has an alloy body. I'm on my 2nd 3 pedal 360 and couldn't be happier with it. It has a beautiful timeless design. Its pretty much bullet proof when it comes to dependability. Having said that it really is a matter of personal taste. If you like the 360 and can afford it go for it. As far as dealerships go, thats a tough one. Most make money by accident in my opinion. If a dealership does not allow a PPI then you should question why. In any event don't settle. Question the dealership about the history of the car, maintenance issues, accidents, etc. Also don't take only their word about whether or not the car comes with tools, papers and so on. Tell them to show you. Alot of sales people are "yes" men if you know what I mean. Look at the car, ask them to put it on a lift so you examine it thoroughly. Purchasing a certified car from a Ferrari dealership is a good start but you still have to do your homework. Even more so when going to an aftermarket non Ferrari dealer.

Not much experience on the 355 side, but just a a 360. I love the car, so far has been great, and much better looking than then 355 (that's just my opinion). The 355 was never an option, but from talking to fellow enthusiasts and mechanics, the overwhelming feedback i have gotten was that the 360 is much much much more reliable than the 355.

Get a PPI done by Ferrari, either way it's $670 worth spending, and the dealer should allow for it.

From what I know about MG, they look for low mile cars with no stories before they buy for inventory. I'm not saying that any dealer is fool proof. Do your homework and you'll be fine.

+1. I had a 355 and went to an F430. 355 a great car but plagued with issues. Especially the F1's and spider tops. You're looking for a 3 pedal so the F1 wouldn't come into play obviously. Go with the 360.

If you post this thread in to the 348/355 section you would have a different answer I think but in my opinion 360 hands down ...

My best experience ever with Demian at Scottsdale Ferrari. He went the extra mile with after sale service for an out of town (out of country) buyer. A few weeks after delivery, I discovered a missing bolt on the engine bay drip cover. First go around, he sent the wrong short bolts. He then followed up and sent me two of the longer bolts! He took care of all the details right to getting it on the transport and it arrived with a fully charged battery and a full tank of gas! Couldn't ask for any better service than that!

I'm going to differ on the one. While the 360 is a great car and like others I highly recommend it.. And mine has been fantastic...

If you REALLY want a 355, as in its been the car you've wanted since 15 for 30 years and the 360 would be a compromise... Go for the 355. A ferrari should be the realization of a dream. You're going to have bumps in the road regardless. Getting what you really want gets you through that.

If its 50/50... The 360 hands down IMHO. I've said before.. You couldn't give me a 355. I couldn't afford it even as a gift.
