    Hey all,
I am a new 1986 Mondial 3.2 owner. I have owned Fcars in the past but not of this generation. What is the best way to close the trunk and hood? My car is difficult on both ends, but the trunk will close with a brisk push. The front hood is more difficult and a little scary as it seems to flex if I push it while in the nearly closed position. Do you drop it closed? I would rather ask a stupid question than damage my car. I guess I could search through the manual, but what kind of real man does that? Thanks.

    Close the

    Trunk
with the lid open look to either side of the latch on the lid lip and you will see "notches"
place your fingers upwards at that area and gently pull down to latch close

    Hood
I place my palm over the latch and gently press down

    thats what works for me!

you can drop it from upper window lign. But be carfull with latch that hold spare wheel in place. When that latch slot is just on the upper curve of spare wheel it will touch the front hood. Or spare wheel itself when it is not well placed.

I close the front hood by simply dropping it from high up. It just thumps down with no drama.

On mine, both front and rear trunks, I gently push down the hood with my palm in center where the latch is until it clicks. If that does not work, the latches prob needs to be calibrated to the correct position for the receiver.
These are not Fords or Chevys that you can just slam it down, if you do, its an expensive lesson! Aluminum hoods dent easily.

    Cheers
