This may be dumb so be kind:

Is it possible to get a set of the Novitek 550 Wheels in a GunMetal (Grigio Mercury in Maser speak) Finish.

How would this be done? Any idea on added cost to the wheels?

    Thanks,
    dsd

Get some wheels and get them painted at your local paintshop. Easy job. :):)

Painting is one option, however, paint tends to chip and peel when you mount tires. Powdercoating is the best option.

I don't know about that .... my I-forged, with black powdercoated centers, started peeling the first time I rinsed them with a waterhose. The lug holes have a terrible application.

Sounds like someone did a crappy job, or they painted it and said it was powdercoat.

If you get them powdercoated it will last much longer than just painting them and should be able to stand up to more abuse from weather and whatnot.

Does powder coating them give you color options? Also how does that effect the feel, everything I've seen powder coated has been black and takes a bumpy feel, not the smooth that would expect on wheels.

    Thanks,

It wont feel like that if it is done correctly and should also not peel for the same reason

Thanks, any good coating shops. All the powder coating I have seen has been more industrial use so that probably explains the feel.

Powder coating has a number of different colors. I seem to remember that you can color match.
