If Ferrari goes balls to the wall and does this, they can do whatever they want, as far as I’m concerned.
I could see the whole RBR effort unwinding if they get rid of CH. No big stretch of the imagination to think AN would see it a good time to leave.
I wonder if Max has an out in his contract if Newey goes to another team. That would be earthshaking.
Newey has made no secret of his desire to design an America's Cup racing Yacht. By some spooky coincidence Ferrari recently revealed their latest project...............yep, entry into the world of racing Yachts ! You could break out the "tin foil hat", but it is not beyond reason that Newey could have been made an offer he could not refuse. In other words, come work for us and we'll give you the freedom to design the racing Yacht. Fanciful ? Maybe, but given everything that's been going on recently....................
Very possible but I don’t see RBR denying him that opportunity….but for someone other than Ferrari, of course…and allowing him to keep his position within the team.
