news on 599 gto??

i really hope they don't ruin the GTO name by calling it the 599 GTO when its really like a CS or scud... or even evolution of the 599xx. That would suck. The GTO's have always been something special and I hope they continue with that legend. Also, what would make it even cooler is if they made it into a homologation special... just like the other two GTOs

 

I think a lot of us would be fairly happy with that.

You have 3 posts on here and you blow our doors off with an announcement that you have a contract to buy a 599 GTO. A few people on here who have earned their stripes can't confirm a GTO. I called two dealers--Atlanta and Las Vegas--and they have never heard of it.

I am not saying you are wrong, but I am saying that nobody else has heard the good word.

You are free to post your scanned contract anytime.

 

Call my dealer. They will confirm 100%. Next year a 599 GTO. Period.

I never posted what is being copied n paste. All I requested, was the guy to enlighten his dealer that he claims confirms the GTO. If its real great news to share.

 

A member here who has a very close relationship with Ferrari confirmed that there will be a 599 GTO back in February.

 

Other than talk, there is no evidence that there will be a 599 GTO. Those who have evidence, let them speak. Those who have deposits, post the bill.

So far, at least 4 dealerships have professed no knowledge at all of a 599 GTO and have indicated that they are unable to take deposits on a car that is not confirmed.

When I see other evidence, I am happy to change my mind. But, your statement above is hearsay within hearsay.

The 288 was a modified 308 and now it's a classic and one of the prettiest Ferraris ever seen....and yet, most non-enthusiasts couldn't tell the difference between a 288 and a 308 or 328.

Why cant the 599 GTO be a modified 599?

One Ferrari buyer can get two of the latest model delivered 3 months into production while another buyer will wait two YEARS to get one. All Ferrari buyers are not created equal in the eyes of the factory. Some people will get access to information and cars long before the rest do.
I see lots of useful and correct detailed information on a variety of topics offered by people with very few other posts. If someone is willing to share some interesting news that others are not privy to; good for them. Everyone can't be PAP...
