We are going on Princess again in April to do the Mexican Rivera......again....for the 3rd time. I wanna go somewhere different for the next one. Which would you do?
Alaska is a MUST. The scenary up there is to die for and everyone should do it once in their life. I went in 2004 in August from Alaska down to Canada. The weather is really nice during that time of year and there are a ton of fun activities to do each day on land.
If you're tired of Mexico and want to stay West Coast (versus East/West Carribean) I'd definitely look at Alaska. It's beautiful, unique scenery and they have gotten better at adding more active excursions to the selection (kayaking, seaplane flights, driving, etc). However, I don't think April is a good time to go to there, more July/August.
The Hawaii cruise is awesome but it's a 15 day cruise and getting that much time from from my job is almost impossible unless I plan it around holidays.
That's what I'm thinking. We do our usual yearly cruise in April. I think Next year will be Alaska and then Hawaii in winter 07. Then back to Mexico in 09.
Funny you should mention this..... This sign was pointed out to me on my last cruise last year. The wife pulled me back aboard Image Unavailable, Please Login
Alaska! Best trip in the USA anyone can do. Cruises seem to be the best/favorite way to do the trip although RVing is fun to I hear. I hope to make the trip someday. Definetly take that one-and post pics! Hawaii would be great to but do alaska first for sure!
Why not go cruise some gay bars with Darth and Wyo? you save a ton of money, have just as much fun.. Oh, and I voted Alaska.
I guess I don't really see the point of a cruise to Hawaii. Don't get me wrong Hawaii is well worth visiting, beautiful and a lot of fun. What I don't get is that there is nothing between the mainland and there. Seems like a lot of time spent on the boat when you could fly over and island hop for those days instead. Of course half the fun of a cruise I guess is on the boat too? I'd say cruise to Alaska and fly to Hawaii.
I like being at sea. Always have. Not much of a fan of being in port. I usually spend the day on the balcony, reading or staring off into space. Port is for the wife.
