    Hi Folks

I am now in Sydney and would like to try and get over to melbourne for the next Fox collection Open Day. Can anyone tell me when the next open day is and what I need to do to be able to get in. Do I need an invite and can anyone point me in the right direction on where to get one??

    Thanks
    Ben

ok, so you're 19 (and a half), ahh bless....., and you drive a Datsun Micra (ahh, bleeessss)...

And your interests are car blagging and hooning....hmmmmm!???

Fill out your profile, tell us about you, and MAYBE, we can help.

It's all very well being "interested", but I've replaced the AUD$1000 fuel filler on the Fox F40 because it was "blagged", and other genuine people pinch stuff too.....

How's the rear badge of your 430 AHG...??

Be nice, REALLY nice, and you might get lucky.

Very good point. Had a late night and I meant to write 'try' to organise something, subject to what FF has stated. Thanks for clarifying.

BTW, don't tell me AHG's car has been badged :( That's disgraceful.

Ok fair point, my profile is a bit empyt as I haven't been online for a few weeks.
Essentially I am a 19 year old student studying in Sydney for 6 months, I am mad interested in cars and have been to some of the Ferrarichat and plenty of pistonheads meets in the UK. People on those forums should be able to vouch for me and say that I am a good bloke!

I just heard about the Fox collection and would really like to see it while I am over here and visiting Melbourne!
    Hope this helps :D

exotics always seem a bit sterile 'on display', not my thang. i like seeing them out in the environment.

sort of like a tiger is barely worth an aknowledging look at the zoo, but it'd certainly get your attention out on the street!

Ronald McDonlad car, the McEnzo ?

Seen it and not impressed, still love the F40 or F50....

Now a black Enzo is something else, it sort of brings out the evilness of the car :)

It has something like 29 km on the odometer, and it was delivered to the collection in October 2003 (if memory serves correctly), so I don't think we'll be seeing those photos too soon! ;)

I was there on the day it was delivered; it was pretty cool to see it under the red car cover in the old workshop! Had a nice chat with the Ferrari guy from Sydney who had come down to hand the car over to Lindsay Fox later that afternoon.

that's just plain annoying  all that time/money spent on making something useless, yep i definitely don't want to see pics of it just sitting there decaying. think you could purloin that engine for me? i'm sure with enough KY i could shoehorn it into an X1/9.

Black is gorgeous (although I haven't seen one in person though). Reminds me of an F-117A Stealth Fighter. Pure evil, in a good way! Pozzi Blu and TdF are also fantastic colours for an Enzo; Peter Kalikow's car is absolutely stunning!

So that rules out the 288GTO, F40, F50 and the Enzo.....so maybe I'll get pics of the XJ220. ;)

Lets see what PP has to say....although like you I am not hopeful. :D

It was brought down to Geelong via flat top for a funeral of the son of one of Fox's friends. I was impressed that the car was actually driven around the streets in the funeral procession, admittedly at around walking pace. It had a dealer plate on if I remember correctly.

That's already been done. I posted pics on this site in April - so did Jimbo49. Check out "Fox Car Collection Open Days: April" thread.

So does the collection have set open days then or is it just a case of being invited and going in whenever? I can do melbourne most weekends and I will defintiely be heading over sometime to see the city but it would be nice if possible to combine it with the Fox collection.

Also, is there a Ferrari or Lambo dealer here in Sydney? I wouldn't mind seeing that if there is such a thing :D

There are plenty of specialists and the major dealer concessionaire in Sydney (Kings Cross)... although you'll have to be quick to see the concessionaire... it's all about to change.
