Ok, took the boys apple picking at Masker's & lunch at the Warwick Valley Winery (ham, melted cheese & fried apples on a hard roll. Really good!). Some wonderful roads. So I propose:

Meet at Assembly steak house or such.
Run up the Palisades to Bear Mountain.
Take seven lakes drive down into Tuxedo.
    Take 17 to 17a
17a to rt 1 for Lunch at the Warwick Winery (great home-made everything down to the bread) apple picking or wine or Hard Cider for those who want

Rt1 to Rt 94 through vernon to Rt 23 to -or-
Rt 94 through greenwood lake to Rt 23
to Rt 80 back to Assembly or the area

    Interested?
I also need to look at where Rt 1 leads in NY. that might be better than heading down 94.

Rt 1 is a fun road, but parallels the state line going towards Port Jervis.

Yeah. It looks like we can take it to 284S to rt23S
    or
    284N to 84E to 17S to 87S

Rt 23NJ isn't one of the better roads up there as it's single lane, small town.
And I'm not too fond of Rt 17 in NY as it's pretty heavy with popo.

Anyway, let's see how interest goes. Route to be disclosed later.
Since Sunday is the American Manhasset Show, Maybe a run out that-a-way might be in order

LIE to Rt 110 to the show...then MervDav can show us around :)

But as long as it's nice, I say we ride :)

Ok, took off at 10:00am rt 80 to the Palisades parkway to Bear mountain/Perkins Drive (spectacular view)
    7 lakes drive to Tuxedo/rt 17
    Lunch stop
    to rt17A to Warwick
car never cracked 160 degrees :D
to Maskers for more apple picking in the Ferrari. But this time it was 2:00pm and the place was busy. No bottoming out & no problems with the Ferrari.
Even enjoyed some champagne & apples in the back of the orchard where it was quiet.

Notes: One woman yelled out, "Look, a Porsche!" who's boyfriend was horrified by the mistake. Lots of folks were amazed to see it driving through the orchard. Lots of "Look a Ferrari!" Lots. One person thought it was a Toyota Corolla. Maybe they were eating fermented apples?

Then rt 94 to rt 23 back to 80. about 160 miles. Maybe 4 cops the whole route and they had customers. No traffic. None. I had 7 lakes all to myself.

This was one gorgeous drive on a great day!

Hey Clyde! Wish this was *next* weekend. Would have loved to join -- my new "friend" will be in town and she might have loved that...

Glad you had a good time! Let us know if you repeat.

I have my kids next weekend, so it would be Mazda time.
But I understand due to a mold, pumpkins will be in short supply for Halloween and possibly by 10/15. Maybe it's time to go pumpkin picking. :)

I agree with greg. That's a great pic. Like I said before, I give you major props for driving it in the orchard.
