Unbelievable but today apparently (I got it secondhand from a local radio sports talk station) both Mike Greenberg and Screamin' A Smith have declared Aaron Rodgers "The BOAT" (Best of All Time"). Not sure where that ranks vis-a-vis the GOAT.
They need to put the crack pipe down. As far as QBs, TB12 and Joe Cool, no one else in the conversation IMO...T
This is the 4th NFC championship for Rodgers since 2014. The prior 3 he didnt even crack the SB. No contest with TB12. What he did in one season is more than the Bucs accomplished in 18 years.
So Matt Stafford is available via trade from Detroit. Who wants him and what would you give up to get him on your team? I think WFT wants him but only would give up a fourth round pick and possibly a good second stringer, max. Keep in mind that in his best years he had Calvin Johnson. So how much of his past success is due to "Megatron"?
There's talk here on the radio sports stations that the Pats might want him. I tend to doubt Belichick would trade for him. Although, Matt Patricia is back, so .........
I'm positive that the Lions won't let me him walk without some picks in return. Yeah, he's old but he's an instant starter for a lot of clubs. s
I read the same, along with a few others at NFL.com..."Among others, the Broncos, Colts, Panthers, Patriots, Saints and Washington Football Team enter 2021 with significant QB questions." T
Quick slim of wiki suggests his numbers are more or less the same since Megatron retired. He seems to get a lot of nagging injuries, but typically plays through them. At 32 should still have a few good years ahead of him. Price tag likely to be steep in a QB hungry league. Are any of the teams mentioned above a QB away from post season glory? NO would be the most attractive if Brees retires (is that a given?)...T
Yeah, AR is a first ballot HoFer, but not in GOAT discussion IMO. He needs to win a few more SBs to be in that company. Of course, as a Cowboys fan, I'm still inclined to hate on him! T
Tom I think IND makes the most sense Brissett is free agent, Colts dont pick until #21 and they have ample cap space to absorb Stafford's next 2 year 43 million. NO can win with Hill and/or Winston.
Glad they didn't put a flag on that INT by TB. #77 of GB did a false start earlier on the drive that was a big miss.
'Brady can't throw the long ball....' I've been hearing that for a month now, comparing Brady to Ben, and to Peyton's last season...
The missed false start kept the drive going as it led to a first down when it would have more unlikely to have been converted otherwise given how the Bucs were stopping them. It was pretty deep in GB territory too. edit: it was 3rd and 6 at GB 17.
