He’s a cool guy. Like I said… Although I remember his last game. FSU won. He sat in the bench long after everyone left. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
While serving my Corporate Loyalty sentence in PNS in the mid-late 80's I got to see Emmitt Smith play - Dale, was it Escambia HS or PNS HS? One of my co-workers had a kid on his team and he said "You got to come to a game and see this running back." Must have been 6,000 people at the game that night. I think he scored 4 touchdowns before being sat down in 2nd half b/c his team was up something like 44-6.
I think it was Escambia. I was at UF when Emmitt played. He was hyped to the sky and back, and lived up to it. T
I saw Emmitt play one game at UF; he played well but the team lost to Memphis (State). It was the last game they lost to an unranked opponent in at least a dozen years.
Tampa won't let him go (easily), and SF doesn't have the high draft picks to give to Tampa for him, they used them trading up to get Trey Lance... Do you remember Patriot/Charger Danny Woodhead? Everyone said 'you need to see him', so in the high school playoffs I got to watch him, he had 275 yards rushing and 5 Touchdowns.... Problem was, they were playing my step-kids high school, and our starting QB had 315 yards rushing and 6 Touchdowns.... and our team won. But to be fair, many people have rated 'our' team as the best ever in Nebraska HS football history. Most starters at all positions got D-1 scholarships, and I believe three of them played in the NFL for a few years.... but the QB never really did anything in college, I THINK he went to Kansas State and never played...
Latest reports! Seahawks trade Russell Wilson to Broncos for Drew Lock and more, and Aaron Rodgers signs a four-year extension with the Packers!
I think most people don't give a **** about Aaron Rodgers and his dumb-*** childish games... (even the sports talk radio guys are tired of it now)
People around here are as impressed with the Wentz deal as they are with the Commanders name - that is not very.
Frank Reich was the 'Wentz Guru', I heard tonight they attended the same church in Indy, neither was enough to convince Irsay to keep him. Every team has a 5 year window to win a SB, I think Indy is in year 3, after that all the great players on rookie deals will want to be PAID, and that dissolves your team. 'Everyone' is picking KC to get to the SB, but if what I am reading is correct, they will release or trade Tyron Mathieu, and to ME, that is a HUGE loss.
Willis: I share your pain. Your SB odds cratered to 75-1 when Wentz deal was announced. There is no way I'm missing WFT game at Philly this year.
