And the AFC West gets another 'star' player, albeit somewhat past his prime...
Chicago Bears trading Khalil Mack to San Diego . . . errr . . I mean LA Chargers for a 2nd rounder and a third rounder after giving the Raiders two first rounders for him. They might be crazier than the Washington . . . errr . . . Commandos, I mean Commanders.
So tell me the Texans are waiting to pull the trade of the century. Please? Pretty please? With a cherry on top? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
PLUS they are taking on his entire (huge) contract.... Trade of the Century? Who? A QB that has not played in over a year? A team with one skill position player to speak of? They could trade Watson for six starters from the Rams and that won't make a bit of difference. Oilers -er- Texans ownership is a laughing stock - as bad or worse than the Giants, Dolphins, Lions, but one thing is clear: as long as the NFL rules TV, the owners will thrive on those TV revenue shares $$$, there are owners that want to win, and there are owners that just want a nice fat paycheck, guess where Houston is? I for one would NOT want to be in Russell Wilson's shoes, for the upcoming 2022 season the AFC West will also be playing the NFC West and AFC North Divisions.... I'm hoping Mark Davis will make some decisions - and then do the exact opposite. Every trade he does he screws himself... I'm scared he will trade Derek Carr...
Panthers have no offensive line, no prime receivers, coach on last year of his contract, and team totally stinks. Can't imagine Watson going there voluntarily.
I knew Brady didn't want to retire, Giselle made him do it. Apparently he made her life so miserable around the house that she told him to go back to work.
'Usually' when someone retires, the media is all over 'did he turn in the paperwork saying he is retired', and nobody asked that, so I kinda figured he wasn't retired. Now we will see if that Guard that retired unretires... Marpet was it? Gronk too...
Joe Buck and Troy Aikman to do Monday Night Football. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/33518376/joe-buck-troy-aikman-sign-multiyear-deals-espn-voices-monday-night-football
Thank GOD! I didn't like those two pompous holier-than-thou jerks, and I don't get cable, win-win for me!
Why? I like most of the broadcast crews on all networks, they add to the broadcast. There are only three I cannot bare to listen to - and these are two of them.
Whisky. Convert to an Eagles fan. For 45 years the voice of the Eagles, legendary Merrill Reese, just signed a 3 year contract extension. He is the greatest football radio voice since John Facenda, who was also a Philly boy. Combine with Harry Kalas, the greatest baseball play-by-play man in the history of the game. You see how easy it is to fall in love with Philly sports teams?
I think when it comes to play by play and color analysts familiarity does really breed contempt. I still like Joe Buck, but I have been long tired of Aikman. Tony Romo hasn't been around too long and I've also tired of him. Al Michael's should have quit at "do you believe in miracles?" Even Madden's act started to get real old. I more enjoyed Frank Caliendo's impersonation.
What I don't like is guys that speak like they know EVERYTHING *AND* are pompus about it. I don't mind Tony Romo because what he says is going to happen almost always does, whereas Troy says it AFTER it happens. Al Michaels is just an Announcer, he's not a color guy, he's OK I think. Same with Jim Nance and Mike Tirico.... The one clown I absolutely positively cannot stand is Charles Davis on CBS. The guy WON'T SHUT UP!!! He says every single most minute detail of every play, every move, by every player, he is unlistenable. When he is on, I either watch a different game, or I mute the channel.
Ok Devante Adams to the Raiders, where he gets to team up with his old college QB. The story also says Wierdo Wodgers knew Devante was on his way out when he got his contract the other day, which proves to us one thing: it was never about the talent around him, it was ALL ABOUT THE MONEY, which we knew all along. Now he has Cobb and Lazard, he should really light up the scoreboard now.... LOL
Deshaun Watson to Cleveland for . . . . . THREE FIRST ROUND PICKS????? Cleveland . . . . where quarterbacks go to die. So, whither Baker Mayfield? Hell, I'd rather have Mayfield than Wentz. Sheesh . . . . It's like teams have absolutely lost their collective minds.
Yes, because on top of that they say he is getting $230 mil GUARANTEED! Of course with that kind of cash he can pay off all complainants and still have enough for cab fare.
