The talk I've heard from the pundits is based on previous miscreants, he's looking at 4 to 6 games.
Not much of a football fan. Texan's hands were tied with the no trade clause. Texan's executive and front office is a league-wide joke. Texan's did not receive all that much in return, for a QB with his talent. Watson will be dumped on the streets of Cleveland with quite a bit of baggage. Watson played Atlanta quite well and the public sob story about wanting to return home and play for the Dirty Birds was an illusion. Cleveland will look foolish, if Watson's production on the field does not match his annual payroll. Maybe yes, maybe no. Perhaps the Texan's were fleeced. Players who return with baggage do not always end the story, with a good ending. Time will tell.
Meanwhile in the DMV - How bad can a team owner be when even a beer company doesn't want to be associated with you? Please - Somebody make Snyder an offer he can't refuse! https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/33540998/anheuser-busch-ends-sponsorship-washington-commanders
So, whither Baker Mayfield? Hell, I'd rather have Mayfield than Wentz.
Who is this Wentz guy I keep reading about?
Who is this Wentz guy I keep reading about?
Poor Carson. He should get himself fitted for a sun visor and a clipboard! [emoji2] T
And this is why Cleveland will fail yet again. They did not have to guarantee him that - the guy has not played in over a year-and-a-half once the season starts, and who knows how many games he will be suspended for... Adrian Peterson got a year, Calvin Ridley got a year, my GUESS is he will get eight games. How dare you make a comparison of jackasses to the texans franchise, that's a terrible thing to rate a jackass that low... If I was Carson, I'd call it a career - for mental reasons - and retire to an island in the South Pacific, with a sun visor, a good book, and an endless supply of umbrella drinks....
I was hoping the 49ers would have gone after Matt Ryan. A 3rd round pick??? That is a steal for Ryan....look at what Denver gave up for Russell Wilson, and I think Ryan is better or at least equal to Wilson.
I can believe KC let Hill go - I would have let him go also, for FIVE draft picks! BUT KC turns around and signs MVS to a 3 year 30 MILLION dollar deal? I want to be MVS's agent... because MVS isn't very good, he's not even average..
Yeah, weird. I think $10M may be what decent WRs get these days. Crazy. Read somewhere that Chiefs more concerned with signing other players. Think we'll see how good Mahomes and Kelce really are these next few years. T
Kelce is on a downhill slide - just go look at his production in most games this year, he appears to be on a 'Gronk' trajectory: does less in the regular season, shows up in the playoffs. I think KC may be the 4th best team in that division, I don't see them making the playoffs - this happens with Andy Reid - look at his record in Philly - a few years of great, a few years of bad... and they lost the one guy I thought they could not afford to lose - Tyronn Mathieu.
I can help with the Andy Reid record at Philly. 14 seasons. 140-102-1. 6 NFC Championships. 9 post-season appearances. One SB appearance. If there is any complaint about him, his Iggs went 1-5 in conference championships. And I should add his first year in Philly (1999) he inherited a disaster and brought in a 5-11 record with that squad. The number of assistant coaches and players under him who had remarkable coaching careers themselves is impressive.
NFL.com definitely had Kelce as a big "loser" in the Cheetah trade. It's a golden opportunity for Mecole Hardman if he can make the grade. T
I have no disrespect for Reid, I was pointing out that coaches - even really good coaches - slide. Back when Seattle had the 'Legion of Boom' defense and won the SB, I said at the time 'this will last maybe 2 more years, and then guys will want to be PAID - and they will leave'. Every team goes through it. When Denver had noodle-arm Peyton they had a great defense - and then some key players left for greener pastures. They always do. Losing players hurts, losing great players hurts, but it's the really good role players that few could name leaving a team that really hurt a team.
And why on earth KC would sign Ronald Jones is beyond me, signing MVS was a complete joke as well, totally stupid. Anyone that watched GB last year saw that MVS cannot catch a cold...
Jones was decent before losing his job to Fournette. NFL.com says 1 year, $5M if incentives are met. Seems cheap-ish in this day for a 24 year old RB...T
If he can hold onto the ball.... that was what haunted him in Tampa... And I DID like RJ - even though Lenny started in Tampa, I did actually take RJ as a bench player on some of my fantasy league teams, but when I saw he was not going to get used, I dropped him about halfway into the season. THEN, of course, Lenny got hurt - but RJ still didn't produce much... What I think is hilarious is how Deshaun Watcon fleeced the Browns... And here we go again with the Kaepernick talk - did ANY of the sports radio guys bother to look at Kaepernick's last season? He was beyond awful.... And also, hardly any of those clowns have picked up on the fact that DeVante Adams played with Derek Carr at Fresno State and those two set a lot of records there, they are just assuming Adams' production is going to suck.....
Dwayne Haskins killed. Hit by a car . . . RIP. Former #1 draft pick of Washington in 2019. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/33706232/pittsburgh-steelers-qb-dwayne-haskins-dies-being-hit-car
Not a very exciting NFL Draft. Only 1 QB taken (and rightfully so). Jets, Giants did a really nice job. Neither has a QB, but building the foundation.
