What does this mean? That you have to pay to watch this game? I'm in Canada and so far I have been able to watch every/any NFL game.
You have to subscribe to Peacock (NBC) to see the game, at least in the U.S. If you have one of those cable “season ticket” services I don’t know if this applies or not.
Sign up for the 7 day free trial, but I'd never do that - this game will be a crappy game. Snow, 10 degrees, KC sux, Miami with a ton of injuries. I signed up for the Sling 'Football Package' back in August, I am not sure it includes Peacock, I KNOW it didn't include Amazon Prime Thursday night games. Next season I may just do the NFL Red Zone for the regular season games, that's where I watched every week EXCEPT FOR Thursday night (Prime) and Sunday night- which were on OTA TV. (OTA - Over The Air)

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/39285303/bill-belichick-leaving-patriots-24-seasons-sources-say It's remearkable that arguably the greatest coaches in college football and pro football history are both quitting within 24 hours of each other...... Consider this: Belichick helped lead the Patriots to nine Super Bowl appearances and six Super Bowl titles; Saban led Alabama to nine SEC titles and six national championships.
I wonder if local NBC affiliates share in Peacock revenue because they’ll get screwed by streaming the games otherwise.
Their (NFL) argument is 'nobody bitched when we put games exclusively on Prime on Thursday Nights or MNF games on ESPN'. The difference is those are not playoff games. Questions are being raised - why THIS game? The answer seems to be because Taylor Swift fans will pay $$$ to see HER.
That is true - it's pretty hard to arrange the broadcast crew, the schedule in advance based on the teams playing. We saw them 'flex out' some games this year, but they did it 3-4 weeks in advance.... CFP flexed out Florida State, LOL
I’m pissed because this will probably be the Dolphins’ only playoff appearance….but if they do win I’d really like seeing Taylor cry.
I WANT to pick Miami, but I think they have just too many injuries on defense. ALL of these sports radio idiots are spending ALL of their time talking about offense: be it Miami, Dallas, Cleveland, Detroit, and they don't speak a word about the defenses.... I'm more curious as to Swift once Kelce is done for the season and they are 'together' 24/7, how long that will last...
Have you seen that Taylor Swift is now Time magazine's "Person of the Year"! Is that what the world is coming to?
But, they could have bought that time slot long ago AND asked the NFL for the KC Chiefs in that time slot.
But they still would not have known if KC would have been in the playoffs. I suspect that NBC wishes this weren’t happening as viewership would have been much higher for a Sunday game on the network rather than Saturday afternoon streaming. edit: On the Sunday night game they even had Chris Collinsworth urging viewers to “get your kids to help you set up Peacock streaming” so I suspect that they anticipate low viewership.
I just checked the listings, here in Canada we don't have to worry about Peachock streaming the MIA-KC game, our major sports network (TSN) has picked up the game and we get to watch it for free.
Lucky. I think it’s the game of the week, barring some insane Flacco/Baker monstrous performances that are exciting to watch.
