Why would KC let an OL go that has an almost 98% 'win rate'? I know Joe Thuney is expensive, but you go nowhere without a great OL, every team that has won a SB has had a great OL... Maybe his injury history is catching up with him? Or his age?? But 'they' also say this is a great draft for OL's... I'm happy Maxx Crosby got paid... 103 mill for three years....
I have never seen free agency go this crazy - ever. And this is one reason why it is so hard to repeat not only as SB champs, but even just Division champions. I said after the SB I don't expect KC to even make the playoffs this coming season, and now everyone is improving - especially in the AFC West. Except for KC. We will see if they do much in the next 2 months, but KC just has far too many holes to fill. No OT, no legit RB, no legit WR, an aging TE, thin on defense....
If they don't do a 'sophomore slump', like Houston did last season. I will still not be surprised if KC misses the playoffs, everyone else in the AFC West improved, KC, not so much.
NFL Draft - I love how the announcer guy, when the team is sending a guy out to announce who their pick is - the announcer guy ALWAYS addresses the guy as '... and NFL Legend...' when the guy is clearly NOT a 'legend'.
I think Jim was a decent owner, sure, he had his issues - most of America has had issues, but I always enjoyed listening to him when he was being interviewed. RIP Jim.
Sophomore slump - like Houston from 2023 to 2024? I think the surprise team may be Carolina, and I'd like to say Denver and the Chargers, but those two won't be a surprise, based on the coaching. I would not be surprised in the least if KC has a losing record in 2025 - teams go in cycles. I think Vegas will surprise a few people, so may Arizona - until Kyler gets another 'head case'. Toss New England in there, too. Who will be the worst? Cleveland, New Orleans, NY Giants, Tennessee? And some I think people are expecting far too much from: Miami (just, simply, overrated), Minnesota (lost a crapload on Defense), Kansas City (old, and no O/L), Dallas - George Pickens is NOT your savior when you have no running game. If anyone noticed, Isiah Pacheco and Nick Chubb came back and were a shadow of what they were prior to injury - and Cleveland saw that.
In my long life I have never net a person from Pittsburgh who I did not like. One of America's great cities. Why would the Stillers do this to their loyal, admiring fans.
Lindy's NFL preseason magazine is now out, and they pick the Cowboys to finish LAST in their division! What is the world coming to?
Jim, if they can't do better than the New York Football Giants, it's the end of JerryWorld. FLY EAGLES FLY
I think the Eagles will have to keep their eye on Washington more than on either N.Y. or Dallas. By the way, Lindy's picks the Bills (!) to beat the Lions in the Super Bowl.
