Man, there are some STAR free agents this year - and cuts are nowhere near done yet. I'm thinking people have learned not to trade for guys - just wait until they come up on the market and you can get them cheaper AND not have to give up a player or draft picks, shall we bet Adam Thielen ends up in Green Bay? https://www.nfl.com/news/top-101-nfl-free-agents-of-2023-who-are-the-best-players-available
Zeke needs to be cut. He 'retired' the day after he got his big deal. He's a goal-line back, that's all, you can get a good FB for 2 mill a year. I dunno about Dak, he's a decent top-20 QB.....
I'm guessing somebody has run the numbers on a free agent versus a high draft pick, particularly for a quarterback. Carson Wentz, Marcus Mariota, Baker Mayfield, et al, may not rock you. But compared to drafting someone out of college?
Wentz has been a proven failure three times now, as has Mariota. If Baker could develop the mindset of being a Backup, he would fit in well in KC, whose Backup QB retired the day after the SB. I'll go ahead and say it: I'm not all that enamored with CJ Stroud or Bryce Young or Will Levis... They are good, I just don't think they are 'franchise QB's'. Anthony Richardson can be another Michael Vick... Herndon Hooker intrigues me...
