I am sure even non-NFL fans saw Terrel Owens run his mouth this week on their local news sports. Owens feels the Eagles are disrespecting him by not reworking his contract that still has several years left on it. If Mr. Owens did not like the contract the Eagles offered, why did he sign it? If Mr. Ownes wanted performance bonuses, he should have sought them prior to signing. For all his ranting, we'd get the impression Mr. Owens won three of the last four Super Bowls.

Last evening Tom Brady was on 60 Minutes. Mr. Brady turns down endorsements according to the segment, and seems to only do ads that also have his teammates involved. Mr. Brady is white, the QB of the Super Bowl winning team 3 of the last 4 years, he could easily surpass the endorsements Michael Jordan had. Let's not kid ourselves, white America would buy anything Mr. Brady choose to endorse, he is their dream child. Mr. Brady also choose to "leave money on the table" so the Patriots could sign other players.

Mr. Owens seems to forget there is no "I" in "team" and Mr. Brady feels he is making enough money as it is and chooses to avoid most endorsements. Mr. Brady is already looking towards his future beyond football, looking for the the meaning of his life's work. I suspect Mr. Owens will be the next Dennis Rodman, where his personal development will never move past the court/field.

Tom talked about not going out too much because of the fan pressure. Mr. Owens strikes me as a man about town type, the ultimate VIP pr*ck out to squeeze ever last drop of celebrity out of his time on earth.

Finally, when asked where he'd most like to be, Tom Brady answered golfing with his parents and that his best memories in life are with his parents. I suspect Mr. Owens greatest memories are of homes or automobiles he has purchased, women he's laid, or people he's punked or out ran on his routes.

I predict Terrell will wind up doing things like WWF to pay his bills in a decade's time and Tom will run for office and win. Its just funny to see how two people, on top at the same time in the same game are so different and how those differences will play out.

Cannot wait till the day we will be calling him Republican Senator Brady. Has won 3 Super Bowl rings and if retired today would be a first ballot Hall Of Fame inductee . Liked when he said he still feels he has not accomplished what he was meant to do. Sad part is bloated Teddy will be landfill by the time Tom runs and I would have loved to see that race

....they give us what we wish for.

The good news: T.O. may soon be living proof of this.

Basically this whole thing started with T.O. agreeing with Michael Irvin that the Eagles would be better off with Brett Favre as their quarterback. Well, if Owens is cut - and it looks like he will be - guess what team will have either the first or second shot at him on the waiver wire?

Yep... T.O. could become a Packer. He'll get to see how good things are in Green Bay these days. (The other team is the Houston Texans)

    Lucky him.

Also, I can't resist saying that nobody out there has pointed out that it was actually Michael Irvin who brought up the whole Favre/McNabb comparison. Which isn't to say that T.O. isn't a total jerk - he is - but it is interesting that this controversy was really begun by a reporter.

Never could stand MI. I don't care what he did in BigD, I think it was a joke including him in the ring of honor. Yes, yes, thats emotion overcoming reason, still can't stand him.

Irvin's bosses knew TO was TOol, and that he could be played, so they gave him the rope to hang himself with. Jerry Rice never put down his quaterbacks that I can remember, I am referring to post Steve Young. Instead of stating the obvious, the true professional does all their talking on the field with their numbers. TO wanted to go to the Eagles, McNabb was the QB there, he knew that prior to signing. TO is like Mike Tyson, you can get a good quote out of him if you word the question right because his little brain can't comprehend its a trap.

He's absolutely awful as a TV analyst, too. He bought into the whole "If I'm louder, I must be right" thing, and never seems to say _anything_. The only thing he's good for is as a litmus test for stupid athletes. It's never a good sign when Irvin outwits them in conversation. (How 'ya doin' T.O. and Keyshawn)

    Here's my MI story...

The Cowboys used to have their training camp at St Edwards U in Austin. One time MI was being interviewed by ESPN’s Craig James. I waited until the interview was over, walked up to and past MI who turned to me like he thought I was going to ask for an autograph. I didn’t say a word and walked right up to Craig James. I said I was glad to meet him, how I remembered his support for Marshall Faulk for Heisman candidacy (Gino who?) and to keep Lee Corso in line. He smiled and said thanks and that he’d do his best with Lee. I turned and left and never said a word to MI.

And yes, he’s a TERRIBLE analyst, right up there with Deion.

And boy! They'll just LOVE him up there in Green Bay. That town is like the anti-Oakland, which is where he should probably just end up. They can't seem to get their fill of mouthy selfish prima-donnas out there.
