I got a good laugh when I saw the headlines: 'There is a surprise leader in NFL ticket revenue, and it's not who you think'. Well, all of us here (I think) knew it is the Raiders, and gee whiz, it IS the Raiders! LOL (Sorry Dallas, Green Bay)
Kinda related..... NFL revenue in 2021 11.1 billion NFL revenue in 2027 projected 25 billion Before I saw this a couple days ago, I wondered if Green Bay could continue to be an NFL town. I mean....Green Bay just is not able to do a Roman Orgy 10 weekends a year. Thought?
In Wisconsin, the Packers are right up there with one's religion and one's herd of Holsteins. So yeah, they make it work.
Green Bay will be fine because almost all of the money is coming from the TV revenue share, that's why 'everyone' wants to own a franchise. I wonder what it was for Tampa Bay 5 years ago, before Brady, when they sucked... The day will come when ALL games will be PPV - none will be free or over-the-air. It may be 10-20 years, but it will come. It's kind of funny how the Rams have the best stadium in the NFC West, in all of the NFL, but somehow the stadium in Vegas is better than the Chargers' stadium???
I disagree regarding the Pay Per View. As long as the TV networks are willing to pony up they will stick with them
Money talks, all it takes is for someone to out-bid someone else. Partial case-in-point is the two guys that left Fox for ESPN - they did it purely for the money. Another thought is if the LIV Tour can buy players, anything can be bought. I know the dollars are not the same, but go do some research on what the Chinese and Japanese own in America. All it takes is $$$ I tend to agree with you, but I will never say never.
Mayor's chart is secondary ticket prices; I think you are referring to a team's market value...Cowboys lead at $7.6 billion
After my purchase of four club level seats at last year's Eagles game at Allegiant Stadium, I can confirm the Mayor's listing above.
The Raiders are not valued at over $2B after moving to Vegas This shows the resale ticket price. Vegas resales are higher than any other team in the league.
Last month I purchased 4 club seats in PHX for the Eagles-Cards game this October,,,very similar spot (40 Yd. line, about 15 rows up, visitor's side) to Allegiant seats and about 60% of the price
