First of all, if this post is irrelevant, where are the video game threads?

secondly, whats wrong with EA, they were the ones who made blokes like me dream a Ferrari, i learned super cars from there and now they are in a kind of ignoring the world leader of eotic cars in their games?

why is that happening any1 knows, i mean there are other games like PGR, Gran Turismo, Test drive etc all featuring FERRARI but EA - NFS has gone crazy

Probably should be in Off-Topic but, I'll leave that to a Mod.

Maybe they weren't able to secure the right to use a Ferrari image in the game from Ferrari or maybe they felt the price from Ferrari to use it was too high. I'm sure they tried, but business is business.

NFS 5 (Porsche Challenge) was the last good NFS game!

BTW, there're threads in the "Collectables, Literature, & Models" forum about video games like Forza, PGR! :)

Blimey studios has the Ferrari license. Don't know if it's exclusive, but it covers every car. And THANK GOD for that. The guys of Blimey are known for the most accurate racing sims in the world (GTR 1/2, GTL), we can suppose the upcoming "Ferrari project" (screenshots: http://www.blimeygames.com/site/screens_ferrari.php ) will be amazing. Don't tell me you'd rather have a "rice my Ferrari" NFS with crappy physics than that...

I think it might be more of an image thing, Ferrari doesn't want to be associated with street-racing and ricers. I remember many years ago in NFS Hot Pursuit 1, the only cars that you could not use in a police chase were the Ferraris.

Nah, I doubt it has anything to do with the street racing/ricer thing. They were in the latest Test Drive: Unlimited? for Xbox 360. That game was all about street racing. As with most things in life, it probably boils down to money. I'm guessing Ferrari has learned a thing or two from Bernie and the Ferrari license isn't cheap; as there are far fewer games with Ferrari's than there are with Lamborghini's (I can't even think of a recent racing game w/o a Lamborghini).

Gran Turismo, oddly enough, still do not carry the Lambo license

Need for speed died when they when underground and brought in the ricers screwing up the whole series for life. that series is a joke with their chessey story lines of some idiot driving a riced out honda or whatever acting like hes vin from the fast and the furious and now you also race for respect? thats lame! we all know as soon as someone rolls up with an Enzo he wouldn't be all tough then. Hot persuit series and the highstakes where awsome what happend to the good old days man? Most wanted had some potentual but that changed when the series once again decided to be like the Fast and the furious and go "Ricing" with drifting. Prostreet is a joke to the NFS series bottomline.

PGR is now the best now and forza, Testdrive for a real racing game with real cars!.

I suppose if your young its a diffrent story but I totally lost interest in the newer NFS games finding myself still hooked on the older games. :D.

Since we're on the subject of videogames, maybe some of you would like to know that GT5: Prologue (with an F430 and 599) just came out in Japan, and it has no region blockage so you can play it on any PS3. I've already got mine ordered from play-asia for around $70 with express shipping.

Gran Turismo has featured oval rings in all their games.

That video, by the way, looks incredible.

No, that's just one track, relax. They have the daytona road course too, plus Suzuka and London.

games like PGR4, GT5, GTR2 (no newer version) are already featuring Ferraris
so i gues its not that legal issue

the question was, its a long time NFS is ignoring Ferrari
we have to respect NFS cause no matter how much the game SUCKs now (I agree after HotPursuitII, no NFS came any goood) they are considered the bigger names in racing games( and not sims)

Also the car modification facility in NFS is gr8 as far as i think

they are featuring Porsches, Lambos, Fords, McLarenSLR (wheres the price factor now?)
If some one know really whats the matter please reply

will we never see a Ferrari containing NFS?
