Thanks and it is a very technical track. Harder than LM that is for sure. Wish i had an elevation track so others could see the bowl, the hard uphill after the sharp right turn... and we could use one of the NASCAR ovals so top speed could be quite good...

IMPORTANT CORRECTION: If the numbers are right and we could get Putnam and perhaps KTR and/or other sponsors, it could be ONLY $150/car. MUCH LESS than i originally felt.

PLEASE, we NEED a show of hands guy. This is not a commitment, just an idea of possible guys from Fchat. Also, hotels nearby are not expensive. i am thinking August as the Empire State has no event. see http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?p=135460975#post135460975

What dates does the Empire State already have booked??? They still have the 2005 calendar online.

Steven, I assume this event will be sometime in the Spring. I currently do not have a trackable car, however I do expect to get my 430 delivered in the next two...no eight...no twelve weeks...well, you get the picture.

Please keep me posted, if I have my car I'm a firm yes.

    Track availability

I just got off the phone with Steven who has been in touch with NHIS while walking through an airport. As we expected the track is pretty much booked solid from now until the end of the season. There are several dates available in early April. I feel as though they would be the worst dates to book for several reasons. 1, The weather, typically rain or even snow is very likely. 2, Its early spring and many drivers are still recovering from cabin fever and tend to push themselves and their cars too soon. 3, The track is "green" and there is very little if any rubber on the track, mix that with cool track temperatures = lots of accidents.

We also have several late October events to choose from. Oct, 23. 25-26 and 30-31. These are all week-day events but they lend themselves to great conditions. The temp is typically about 60 degrees and sunny. Track temp about 80-90 degrees and a seasons worth of rubber on the surface. That being said we will book an October event. If the demand is great enough and if we can get some additional sponsors we will consider a 2 day event.

What we will have access to while at NHIS. Complete use of the infield paddock area. One 12 bay garage area (free) 12 bays = 24 cars. If we get the demand for additional garage space we can add 12 more bays for 500.00. All garages have compressed air, water, power, and work benches. We will also have staff on hand to open the race fuel pumps should anyone require race fuel. Additional infield facilites include: Showers, restrooms, ATM and Classroom.

There is a Red Roof Inn 8 miles from the track on Route 106. Our FCA discounted room rate will be $66.99 a night plus 8% tax. . Concord NH is 10 Miles south west of the track with MANY resturants, hotels and other goodies. (Makris has the best lobster in the area.)

    Other considerations

NHIS has a strict DB limit of 103DB. It is measured in 2 areas on the track. Exit of T-12 on to the main straight and just passed the exit of T-10 entering the North Chicane. If you are more than 103 DB you will be asked to muffle the car somehow or you gotta be very gentle on the gas exiting these corners ( I never said that though). Habbitual offenders will be asked to pack it up by the track not FCA track event organizers. Those of you with Capristo, Tubi or other exhaust need't worry too much. The loudest race bike at NHIS is a buell pro-thuder bike and is annoyingly loud at 100DB. Unless you are running straight pipes with out any silencers you should be ok.

Family and friends will have the same access to the paddock area as the drivers. Kids under 18 ARE NOT allowed in the hot pit area or pit road. Dogs must be kept on a leash and cleaned up after.

For "driving schools" and "clinics" stop watches ARE NOT allowed. Timed laps = a competitive event.

If anyone has any questions (no matter how trivial you think they might be.) PM me and I'll be happy to answer them for you.

    Thanks

    Scott

I'd be VERY interested in attending, and I know several others locally who would as well. Also, I know a few guys from Mass. and NH who would most definitely be interested in getting in on this as well.

Not yet. It may be if we get enough F-Cars to commit to the date. As of now No.

Agreed, but it SEEMS we may be 100% Ferrari cars judging from the way my cell phone has been ringing. For now, and pretty please with sugar on top and a cherry be kind to me, i would prefer an all Ferrari event for the simple 'single marque' event status. Still, this is not a solid event per se as we are literally only 96 hours into me initially beginning the wheels in motion.

The event is in October so there is PLENTY of time, no worries. Heck, the ink on the contract i committed to for the track has not even begun to flow...
