new season, new thread
all praise the second coming of Gretzky this Bedard kid better be good…Hard to live up to this level of hype
My thoughts as well. I used to play hockey here, just in normal leagues, but I used to be able to name off the top 100 or more players from about 1972 to the mid-90's, today I can't name you ten players.I still have all my equipment - including my all-wood sticks from the 80's. I may have to tune in a game just to see how he does.
Thanks for starting the thread. Going to 'Canes home opener tonight. Cup expectations running pretty high here in Carolina.
5-3 win. Over 70 shots. 2 shorties, a lot of loose play. I think the Sens might make some noise this year, and yes, Carolina has shortest Vegas odds as puck drops
people are mad about this because it "took too long"? do we need a shot clock on shootouts? easy solution: get rid of shootouts.
Vegas starts 5-0 in the season. Vegas Golden Knights since the 2023 all-star break: --47-8-7 Record — 134-point pace — 217 Goals For — 140 Goals Against — +77 Goal Differential — Won the Stanley Cup
Canes start 3-4. Win home opener then brutal 6 game road trip out west, then the AVS, then the Bolts.
Sharks still without a win. They looked terrible last night. Shut out 3-0 by Canes and I think perhaps 22 SOG
former NHL player Adam Johnson died from an on-ice injury in a European league game. google at your own risk. Tweet— Twitter API (@user) date
John Kruk was in the booth during Monday's 'Canes-Flyers game. Now THAT'S hilarious. Kruk comment during a Phils' game this year, on a guy at the plate choking up with two strikes: "I ain't never choked up in my life!"
NHL trade deadline this Friday 8th March. Didn't see any trades today but no doubt things will heat up as the week progresses.
