No, they all actually do get a 10 minute misconduct. All of them must be served. There’s no “offset” in hockey where you get a “do-over”
So they all have to go off the ice and other players take their place? But there isn't enough room in the penalty box!
That is correct, they all have to go to the penalty box UNLESS there is less than 10 minutes left in the game (including 5 min OT) in which case they simply leave the game and head to the dressing room because there is no chance the penalty expires with playing time left on the clock.
shipment of Jagr bobbleheads stolen very on brand for him and Pittsburgh https://www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/id/39730168/jaromir-jagr-bobbleheads-stolen-delaying-penguins-giveaway
Ovechkin is red hot, after starting off VERY slow (especially by his standards) he is scoring like crazy. I didn't think he could break Gretzky's goal record based on his season started....but at the pace he's going, he should break it in two seasons after this one.
As soon as the voters in Tempe voted down the wishes of their own City government for a new arena (and cleaning up a toxic dump site), the handwriting was on the wall. Then the Mayor of Scottsdale blasted the Coyotes and didn't want them next door in North Phoenix. The final straw. The NHL had no choice really but move the team to a decent (but not perfect) arena with an enthusiastic fan base. Elections have consequences.
If I'm correct, Vegas was the only team to break through with a victory on the road for the first game in the playoffs.
I was at the Canes game last night. Tremendous comeback. They had dominated the game for the first half and were still down 3-0. In the third period. especially, their forechecking pressure was suffocating and the Isles just could not clear their own zone. If the Canes goalkeeping holds up, look out. Bob, we might see you guys in the finals.
Happiest guy in Hockey today: Tomas Hertl. Just 3 weeks ago he was injured and stuck in a multiyear contract with the last place San Jose Sharks. Today he's scoring goals for the VGK in the playoffs. This guy is a face off monster. He wins like 70%.
I was there. Brutal game for the Stars. 2 goals from power plays that each lasted less than 15seconds and were from weak calls. LV still looked like the better team last night. Tough draw to play LV in the first round but hopefully the Stars can bounce back and take the series.
Vegas up 2-0 ON THE ROAD over Dallas. The Golden Knights have played at the American Airlines Center 15 times in franchise history. They have been underdogs in 14 of the 15 games. Vegas have won 11 of those 15. If you bet $100 on every one of those games, you'd be up $1,028.
The stars are a great team but Vegas just has them beat every time. Like I said, this is a tough matchup for the stars in the first round. I don’t see how the stars get through Vegas. Stars came out hot in game 2 but still couldn’t keep up. Sad to say, but I don’t see how the stars win the series.
