And Carolina will be a .500 team with usual uncertain goalkeeping and about 52 keys guys from last year lost to Free Agency.
Jim, the Devils have loaded up this year. And we Flyers fans have our own dynasty...two years in the mid 70's
The "Real" Raiders showed up in Denver -- and it wasn't pretty. What a terrible horrible awful game they played.
In honor of a certain steam locomotive designed to pull freight thru the Wasatch mountains between Ogden and Cheyenne (one of which is now operating again), how about the Utah Big Boys?
Ugh, Columbus Blue Jackets lost Johnny Gaudreau in that senseless accident, now have lost their Captain Boone Jenner for the season to shoulder surgery. The hits just keep coming at this franchise. Red Wings stunk up the place tonight in their opener at home. Right after the Tigers also lost.
San Jose' off to a great start. Had a 4-1 lead at the start of the 3rd over St. Louis in the Sharks first game and at home-- and lost in OT 5-4.

Canes 5-1 on 6 game road trip including western Canada clubs. Then came home and demolished the Broons 8-2. For those who doubted Raleigh as a proper NHL base, our 71st straight sell out. (Not that there weren't a lot of lean years in the past).
Alex Ovechkin looks like he has embarked on the fountain of youth. 7 goals already, in 10 or 11 games. All the insecure Gretzky fan boys will start tweeting "Yeah but Gretzky has almost 3000 points....", entirely missing the point that this isn't about points or who is the best NHL player of all time, but rather just a chase for the most goals ever scored.
