I used to not like the guy when he was an out of control punk . Penske has a way of polishing the unruly and Kurtis a great example of becoming a much easier to like guy ! I really do like guys that don't just stick with one car and drive as many different cars as possible . A few years ago John Andretti did the 24 hours of daytona , a sprintcar , NASCAR ,even a Top Fuel car ! I wish Kurt well! Really hope he dosen't get beat by a girl in round one !!!!
Wow, in Top Fuel Chris Karamesines qualified in 14th . He is a relic left over from the late 50's, early 60's. He is really old and been racing forever.........Ran a 3.89 on his 81st birthday..... http://www.nhra.net/50th/top50/C_Karamesines30.html http://www.webmii.es/Result.aspx?f=Chris&l=Karamesines&r=us Congrats to Kurt........Keep it straight.......
It isn't always horsepower that wins, just ask Victor. Kurt liked his visit to NHRA but needs more practice on the tree judging by the 0.49 light. Especially when someone like Jason Line can cut a .001 light occasionally... CH
My Dad had a poster of "The Golden Greek" pulling a wheelstand in his front-engined Chizler car from the late 60's. It's an image burned in my mind from my youth - I've seen him race numerous times over the years, and he was pushing it back in the 80's. 81?? God bless him - what a competitor!
