My father-in-law just sold his, same color combo too. His had double the mileage and sold for $10k less.

Geez......according to my calculations I could drive it for 5 years taking $2K a year in depreciation if things remained the same........repairs and maintenance is another story all together though.

The only think I can say is wrong shift lever and boot... Car seems EXTREMELY NICE and CHEAP! I wouldn't part w/ my white/gray '94 (54k miles) for that money FOR SURE!

Option code XJ8 - Porsche Exclusiv - Leather Shift Cover (Automatic Trans) Color to Sample ($329)

They also did a Rootwood gear shift knob in either auto or manual format, as well as steering wheel rim, centre console and door panels, just cannot find the option code right now.

Looks very clean compared to the majority.

I admit I'm not generally a 928 fan, but I saw a silver one out on the road last week and it does look pretty brawny and distinctive. If I were going to have one, as someone posted, I'd go for a manual and one of the early ones with the 'telephone dial' wheels.

You really don't lose much (especially in the S4's and GTS's) in going w/ the auto trans. The manual is a bit balky anyway and the cars have so much Tq they really love an automatic and as long as you keep the trans fluid changed regularly they are pretty solid and trouble free as autos...probably more trouble free than the manuals (especially the early dual disc clutch manuals w/ their crappy synchros)...
