It looks like a mechanical injection system. I see 8 fuel hoses at a block on the right and no sign wires.
Looks like a knock-off of a Hilborn constant-flow set up to me. Incredible power compared to carbs, and very simple to understand once you do a little homework. This type set-up dates all the way back to the 30's and 40's in various forms and won races like Indy for decade after decade. It is mechanical, uses an engine-driven pump and a "pill" to regulate the fuel flow. Really cool. The only thing better would be a timed set-up like the Lucas Mark II...Ahhh, the sound; ahhh, the throttle response!!!
Yeah but it has a very on/off kind of a feel to it if it's like Hillborn. It doesn't do part throttle settings well. H
Exactly. The timed Lucas system has the best throttle response imaginable! Hilborn is simpler, and more suited to mostly wide-open-throttle applications. Still better than carbs and float bowls, etc...
