I spoke to Kevin (owner) in December. At the time he was asking $42K and the car needed a major. He said he was only selling becuase he needed quick cash for some business deals and if the car did not sell by January he was keeping it. From my talks with him, the car is far from prisitine (and he admitted that).
The car is a mess, the owner is arrogant and pompous and was rude to me when I have him an offer pending a PPI. Car has been for sale on and off for about a year at various prices with no rhyme or reason behind the asking. Searching for the car owner name reveals some shady dealings, feedback, and bad business transactions.
Give us some more info...who's the owner, and how is this car a mess? He says he had it "FULLY SERVICED" last month?
I don't recall my detective work back then but I think if you Google the contact phone number you will get the name and go from there. The guy was really sleazy and arrogant on the phone and I would quadruple check every service he says has been done. I vaguely recall discussing services with him where my conclusion was that the car at most got oil changes while under his ownership...
I have no time for "The arrogant thing." And it has nothing to do with getting your price. It has everything to do with something not smelling right. You really don't want anything unsaid on a 355 purchase. Dave and I both ran into it during our search. Those owners are still trying to sell their cars. I don't know this car or owner but your purchase should be easy and fun with a dash of full disclosure on all items. Good cars and Great owners are out there. Robb
