PF-1 has its issues and Autosport is probably a better source, but sometimes PF1 has a nice report worth reading.
Thanks! At least in the first run they showed he looked to be missing just about every apex, sliding around all over the place and spinning the rears a lot!..... I guess a lot is down to the wooden tires but still...... Also noticed they had two cars there. Dunno if he used both or they just figured we may as well take two if we're going. With the testing ban I'm surprised more teams don't run their old cars - At least for the rookies / reserve drivers to get some seat time. Cheers, Ian
probably a back up car in case he stuffed it? and i agree with last part of your post. not only would give them more seat time, but it'd give them something to compare the newer car to.
+1 I'd guess they had two crews there too - Some valuable training time for those guys as well. I *guess* it's more to do with the tires than anything else. They must figure it's just not worth it. And/or, they trust their simulators & CFD models. [Silly people ] Cheers, Ian
