    So there’s a nut that goes around it? I just kind of schmudge mine into the dash each time I drive the car so it doesn’t fall out.

    The bezel has a backing plate that has ridges for the outside piece to click into. Probably you have the backing plate still there; just buy a new unit and click the outside piece back into the (presumably existing) backing plate and pitch the new second backing plate.

    If you don’t have the backing plate still there, you have my condolences. At the factory, it is slid onto the ignition switch before the ignition switch and associated paraphernalia are installed in the car. Removing the switch does not look easy.
