I'm going to do a visit to Orlando in the next few weeks. Can someone give me an idea of a few of the nicer hotels?

I'm a platinum member at Westin and have lots of points with them, so if any of the Westin's in the area are nice that would work out good.

    Thanks for the info!

There's a brand new Westin in Lake Mary. Lots of restaurants/bars within walking distance, too.

The Peabody. I think that is the one with the ducks. Sounds......cute.

Me, I prefer having a fireplace and a full kitchen, so I opt for the older Residence Inn's, like the one around Sand Lake, and the one in Altamonte.

Champagne, a nice flame to watch, shrimp cocktail in the frig, some brie in the oven, along with a beautiful woman, no 5 star luxury hotel can beat that.

Ritz Carlton Grande Lakes and JW Marriott are on the same property and are very nice. Near the convention center area. The Peabody is also nice.

The Grand Bohemian is the best hotel in the downtown area and also where visiting NBA teams stay when they come to play against the Magic.

The Grand Floridian is supposed to be the nicest Disney hotel but I have never stayed there.

Stayed at the Hyatt in Lake Mary recently and it was one of the nicest hotels I've been in.

The Ritz is always a good choice. There's a new Waldorf Astoria in Orlando, as well. :)

I'm not a fan of the Grand Bohemian. Their valet service lost my car and the rooms are tiny.

I was at the Waldorf Astoria about a month ago for a wedding. I thought the value for the price of the room was GREAT. Everything else was expensive, but it fit the bill for a 4 star hotel.
