$90,500 is an awesome price for that car, like I said I tried trading mine in for a challenge stradale at ron tonkin a couple weeks back, they had a white challenge stradale that the owner had repainted white to match the rest of his collection, it was the cheapest challenge stradale ive ever seen $159k. I called them up and even though I had recently bought my 575 sought to trade it in for the stradale. They offered me $82k for me, so nice to see the same car with double the miles get $90k. Ron tonkin told me about how slow 575s are to sell when they get them, they acted like it was a toyota camry and 8,000,000 of them exist lol. Its ok I love mine and its nice to know that I could get well over $90k whenever I choose to list it on BaT. I've been a big advocate for how undervalued the 575 is. I wish I had more parking spaces, living in Miami, in a condo, its tough but if a stradale came up and I could trade the 575 in and get a good price, I would sadly have to do it. I still maintain my stance that with less than 600 ever sent to the US and with plenty im sure wrecked, the 575 is grossly mispriced today and will see lots of appreciation in a few years as the 550/575 ages vs the 599/F12/812 which although much more powerful are just missing something design wise vs the maranellos

$90,500 is actually a pretty good bid for that car honestly im surprised the seller is holding out for me, not sure its worth much more at this current juncture, im sure it will be in the future but I recently got mine 2 months ago for $20k more and half the miles so not sure what this guy is thinking.

to be fair henry $90k may seem "high" for a 575 with 39,000 miles but then again think about it, if you want a 575, and a red one at that and your budget is below $100k, you're probably not going to find one you have to remember that with sub 600 here in the US, assuming 50% are red, there's only 300 of these great machines here right now, finding a low mile one for cheap isn't gonna be easy. A quick glance on ebay shows 4 red 575's for sale right now

    $129,999
    $132,000
    $139,000
    $159,750

Like I said the last one I saw listed with miles that high was TDF blue and it had 48,000 or so I think. It was maybe 2 months ago. These cars are tough to find man, I spent 2 years looking for one before I snatched up mine in november. I kept finding most I was interested in had bad service history or none for that matter + the asking prices were all $130k+ so when I found one for $110k with everything I wanted I literally found it and closed the deal within 2 days. I called the dealer, set up a PPI and everything came back ok it was done quick. When there's so few cars in the US and you want a certain color beggars cant be choosers, $90k isn't so bad if you're looking right now and dont want to pay $120k+ for a red one at this juncture. I wouldn't mind saving $30k for a car driven just 2000 miles a year since new haha, people in the ferrari world act like 40,000 miles the car is nearing death.

EDIT here are TAZ spreadsheet numbers on Ferrari 575 cars in the US, so yes 2,064 were made but a fraction ever came here.

    02: 208
    03: 167
    04: 127
    05: 235 (575M and Superamerica Combined)

well it's basically $95k out the BAT door for a ferrari you havent had inspected, know nothing about, and a seller that didnt chime in, and few to no options. add tires, belts and the while we are there.......

in the spirit of SCM, i'll say the seller should have taken it and run.

    here's a comparable 2004 https://www.ebay.com/itm/2004-Ferrari-575-DAYTONA/112772634026?hash=item1a41c5d5aa:g:VLsAAOSwp-RaZ~yj&vxp=mtr

bit more miles but has $12k worth of wheels

    or this .... https://www.ebay.com/itm/2003-Ferrari-575-M-Maranello/183006780970?epid=74065007&hash=item2a9c0dde2a:g:MCsAAOSwp7FaU5aC&vxp=mtr

What was the catch with the silver one that sold for $80k? I saw that one for a while, I assume it had some issues at that price with those miles right? The other silver one, that dealer is actually next to me here in miami and the few cars he's had ive noticed have been really really bad, they're missing everything, need service, etc. I didn't see that silver one now but I assume the same. To be fair the servicing on these cars is way less than a 355 or 360. Like I said I negotiated belts for my car it was around $2500 when I purchased it. I think for a V12 Ferrari thats red, $90k isnt much even with the 39k miles.

Are you looking to add one of these? I know a really nice low mileage one but it doesn't have any shields/options, if you're interested I can point you towards it, its the dealer I bought mine from. Super nice guy. I almost bought it but decided the higher miles but shields/daytona seats/tubi & x-pipe was more important to me than low miles with stock exhaust and no shields and no colored daytona seats.

no i had a 575 already and sold it.... my brother still has his and i fall back in love every time i see it. so i can't help but look.....

i never followed thru with the silver one as it was the same color as the one i had but from speaking with the owner he claimed it was straight. he was more than willing to send it to boardwalk or anywhere i wanted to get a PPI. i think he had it serviced by norwood if i recall correctly. now if it had been NART blue......

The stick ones are all way more, I think the cheapest Ive seen was a high mile one that was $250 or 275. Ferrari palm beach has a red one right now, not too low miles asking $399k. The stick ones you have to remember were 10% or so of total production, there aren't many of them, one just sold a week ago I want to say $357k + premium at the auction? Personally would I pay for one? No bc you can buy a 550 maranello + an F1 575 + have money left over. It's a really cool car without a doubt but for me personally, im not sure the manual 575 is worth 2-3x a 550 maranello with a stick but then again there's 3000+ 550 maranellos with a stick vs 200 or so 575s with a stick, so to some very wealthy guys it is worth it, im unfortunately not rich enough yet to say it is haha.

The F1 system gets way too much unjust hate, its honestly awesome. Admittedly Im a younger guy and haven't driven the gamut of ferraris. The 575 F1 you have to remember was literally one of the best cars in the world in 2002, you read some reviews on here that make you think an F1 system is like driving a buick lol. Is it jerky around town, sure, sometimes when you're driving slow. It's an F1 system, from Ferrari F1 cars lol it wasn't made to go slow and stop at stoplights. Get on the highway, it shifts like a dream, when Im on the highway im in 6th gear anyways not even playing boy racer shifting through all the gears. The F1 system is plenty awesome, if you ever get a chance to drive it, you'll see it may be "lurchy" as some say but definitely not on the highway. I've only have mine for a few months but even I know not to drive it around the city at slow speeds.

F1 is not jerky around town if you learn how to use it correctly. Keep practicing and result will be no more lurching. Most problems with F1 smoothness are driver inputs.

Wouldn't mind a bit myself. My inbound 575 is my first journey into F1 territory, apart from a 430 that I drove around a parking lot years ago.

I'm also interested in some F1 tips. Don't have one yet but I'm considering some F1 cars. I do a lot of stop and go in LA and not sure how to smoothly deal with start and stops for a very short distance along with merging and having to downshift from 2nd to 1st.

On a separate note, it's interesting to me how the bottom of the 599 market is around 125-130k and it seems 575s are quite close. The 599 seems like a lot more car on papers; granted, I've never driven either and don't know which I'd enjoy more.

The 599 is a ton more car on paper, but looks wise I gotta give the edge to the 550/575 bc the 599 is too similar to the 612 or the california with its top up in the eyes of your average person. Really if you see a 599 in public ask someone what that is, I bet you they say california. The maranellos are a timeless design and unmistakable with any other modern ferrari. The problem with 599's though is aside from looks which is subjective, the dealer I bought my 575 from actually had a 599 for a little bit more like $15k or so, I asked him if I should make the jump, we drove it, its amazing, but really he said the newer cars are going to be really hard to fix down the road. I assume he meant very complex machines vs the 575. I dont know honestly when I test drove the 599, it just seemed to have too much power if thats possible like when you're at a light and you tap the gas it really wants to go. You are right though, way better driver than the 575, but in terms of artistic beauty I have to give the 550/575 a nod in the looks department vs the 599 and F12. The F12 im sure is an amazing machine but it just doesn't do it for me for some reason. I dont know, does anyone else feel that way?

Let me see if I can put something together on F1 driving 101. Get asked enough it might be worth a Word document I can repost.

    Agree.

I think it's not just learning the correct shift points....but also learning to how modulate the e-throttle. I.e. The car can feel 'jerky' even when "in gear" if you don't pay attention to e-throttle response. Takes a little time to mesh the two components together...but once you do...think the system is pretty cool and fun to drive.

I have a 3 Pedal 575, but really miss the F1 I had in my Maserati CC. An F1 575 would be awesome.

The system takes time to get used to but it can be really smooth once you figure it and your car out. Try different things and accelerator positions and you will quickly learn and love it.

I know when I had mine I would shift 10x more than I do with 3 pedals. I get to 3rd in a parking lot :)
