Nice article. I agree, 308s are the bargain sports car of the century.

The serious classics (pre-'74 European sports cars) are already priced accordingly, and the later, computerized stuff is a different ball game.

Nice article, indeed. The 308QV (and 328), I think, is in the sweet spot for iconic styling and classic driving feel with modern enough features and performance.

Fun little article. They do a good job of explaining, we can't explain exactly but it's special. I agree. I even liked the parts about the 360 and 612.

For balance I would have added a 550/575 review. Good article.

612s lead the depreciation curve, but as you say a 456MGT, or 550/575 could also scratch tha V12 itch!!

    For the 12, I think I would go with a 550.

And the 355 should have been in there.

355s for all their wonderful qualities are real expensive if you actually drive them, headers every two years....

If you replace the headers with a good aftermarket alternative 1 time fix and you are done. Every 2 years really?

great read thanks for sharing. I agree the 550/575 should have been on there. Loved the 360 write up.

Tex, they're actually less expensive per mile if you drive them a lot, provided you've done all the "proper" F355 fixes. (Cats, AFTERMARKET headers, valve guides, etc.) :)

Great article, and the 550 and 355 certainly should have been included.

Am I missing something? $85,000 for a 2004 360 whether spider or hardtop, F1 or stick???
Maybe the author assumes it has been used as a DD and has the commensurate miles??

A 308 may be a bargain Ferrari badged sports car, but the Porsche 911 is the bargain sports car of all times, new or used.

Probably depends on the buyer's priorities.

I would trade the daily driveability of the 911 for the shock-and-awe looks and sounds of the 308/328. Ferrari hasn't come close to that level of aesthetic excellence since.

But, a 911 3.2 is a hell of a good car and a good deal.

how about a 911 for a DD and the ferrari for weekends you could pull that off reasonably well.
I agree with many others the 456/550/575 should have made an appearance.

I agree on the 3x8 versus the 911 especially the same era 3.2. I very recently drove a Euro 3.2, which I considered buying. A brief test drive was enough to remind me of the experience and to cure me from buying it. The last 3.2 I owned was in 2009; I owned it for three months before I traded it to get my old water-cooled daily driver 911 back. I'm likely done with having an air-cooled 911 unless an affordable 67 911R comes my way or overrated nostalgia takes over when I find that my old 83 SC is for sale.
