Someone please explain why refueling is banned to cut down on the number of pit-stops and then tires are introduced to increase the number of pit-stops?

Refueling also brings in a huge safety issue, as exhibited several times in the past few years.

They did away with refueling to save an entire 747 hauling 'em around the world. [Yep, apparently the 24 + spare rigs needed their own jumbo.....]

    Cheers,
    Ian

Red Bull (Newey) seems at the front of the pack creatively. With little testing this combined with his proven experiance should once again lead RBR to victory.
Last year they showed early signs of speed combined with some frantic last minute hair pulling / fixing.
The blown diffusers on carbon fibre may keep some up at night.

These may, in fact, be the real reasons but they weren't the rationale offered back then.
Just doing my bit pointing out the hypocrisy of F1. (A full time job it seems :D )

Thanks for the lunch read. What a great idea Pirelli, how much more will that stuff your pockets?

"The other major change this year is in tyre design, with Pirelli opting to design a tyre that degrades much more over its short life"

It will cost them more as they give the tires away.
Actually they pay to have them used.
    This aint SCCA.
