Nick had an '00 M GT for sale at FBH five years ago. At that time the story was that it was his first one and he decided he didnt like it after putting 500 miles on it. It was Fiorano red over grey Daytonas. Not Kermit Green!
I think he respects cars too much to do that to them, especially a Ferrari. As for the 2nd owner...who knows. - Chris
Errrrr.....eemmmmm.... Chameleon paint never seems to be one of those timeless colors. Years from now: "What was I thinking!" Personally, I'd like a 456 as a discreet cruiser car.
No big deal. Just buy a case of beer and a case of aerosol spray paint in your favorite color. Several hours later, a new car!
the car would look dope with some spokes, twice pipes, and hydraulics essay (in my best Cheech Marin voice)
He bought a 612 manual about 4-6 months ago. Red with tint on all windows. good driver I would say so myself.
I just showed my wife the photos, and she didn't think it was that bad. I wonder if the car really belonged to him? I became a die hard fan of his after the Rock, since I'm a toxicologist, and he played a toxicologist that got to throttle that 355... Now if I could just persuade the wife to let my buy the 456. Maybe with that color, he will have trouble getting people to meet his price. Could be a good chance to pick up a 456 cheap. I'd have to sell my 308 though Don't know if I could do it. Dom
A couple of years ago I drove a few of Nick's cars at the Concoruse d'Elegance at Amelia Island! At the time he had up for auction a few motorcycles, a RR Mulliner PK Ward factory limo, and a 95 456GT that was red and had somthing like 50k miles! The 456GT is one of my all time favorites Ferraris! Yes, its very underrated! Especially with a top speed nearly 190 mph
Ironically, we don't have any information on Cage's 456(M) - but i do remember seeing a black one on eBay a while back with some reference to Cage's former ownership of said car... However, with the information we DO have, i'd say this chameleon green was NOT his idea... All of the Ferraris that he's owned (and maybe still owns?) were/are either red, yellow, silver or black... His 250 GT Pininfarina Spyder Competizione Speciale (S/N 0663 GT/0999 GT) was red with a black interior. His Series I 250 GT PF Cab (S/N 0783 GT) was red with a tan interior. The 275 GTB/4 (S/N 09735) that he's alleged to own (or owned) is/was yellow with a black interior. His 308 GTS (S/N 28273) was red with a custom red and black interior. His 348 Spider (S/N 98417) was Grigio with a blue interior. His F355 Berlinetta (S/N 100169) was Monza red with a black interior. The 550 Marranello he drove in the movie Family Man (S/N 108970) was titanium with a red interior. His other F355 Berlinetta (S/N 109360) was yellow with a black interior. His 360 Modena (S/N 115018) was yellow with a black interior. His 550 Barchetta, #029/448 (S/N 124007) was triple black (go, Nick!). His Enzo is red. And Nick, if you're really on here like is rumored, i would LOVE to know the serial number of your Enzo. You could PM me, email me ([email protected]) or call our office, 770.381.1993 - i promise not to go star-struck on you... (even though i AM a fan)... All of this information is, of course, provided by the Ferrari Market Letter...
Hum, thanks for the info, perhaps the Red 456 wasn't his at the show However, I loved driving his RR Mulliner Park Ward! Until then, I had no appreciation for RR/Bentley's
I know I'll get burned for this, but I think it looks ok. I think the range of colors is a little wide but with some good 18 inch wheels I think it would look ok.
