I absolutely understand and agree that good cops don't like to see crooked cops. But that doesn't mean they don't exist. And it surely doesn't mean that I have to prove what I relayed is true... otherwise it is a lie. That is the stupidest logic I have ever heard. If we all had to take the time out of our lives to prove everything we said was a fact, we would get nothing done. I have a VERY busy life, and have absolutely no time to spend on pursuing the nabbing of someone, who I don't believe is harming anyone. It would be kin to me simply stating that I have a friend who saw someone at a rock concert smoking pot. Then being called a lair here on Fchat... unless I turned them into the police. If that person isn't harming anybody, I have no time to waste on them. I see nobody getting harmed in a gambling house... so no time to waste on it.
I think anyone who goes to Gamblers Anonymous would probably disagree with you that no one is getting harmed... Mike

Because you are asking me to waste hours and hours of my time (& life) trying to get someone arrested, who lives on the other side of the United States... that I don't think is harming anyone? You can believe what you choose to. But to try proving your point by calling me a liar, unless I would be willing to spend hours of my time, & probably risking my life by reporting a group of guys, who I could care less about... is silly & borderline crazy. People harm themselves all the time. My belief is as long as they are harming nobody else, all is good. We cannot fix everyone who harms themselves. To try would be a never ending battle... sounds like a job for our government. hehe
I was thinking of the kids who don't get lunch at school, or dinner, or birthday or Christmas presents because Mom or Dad gambled away all the money. Of the family who loses their house because there's no money for the rent or house payment. My point is, very seldom is the only person affected the person who is gambling. The $5K a month from each slot machine had to come from somewhere, and you can't convince me that any loss in those amounts don't have a domino effect on the innocent. Mike

Not trying to convince you... I'm saying it's impossible to stop people from harming themselves if they want to. I don't have any desire to insert my life & beliefs into someone else's life to try to fix them... it's not that I don't care, it's that I know I don't have enough time in the day to try to fix everything. Or report everyone breaking a law that I don't feel is that important. If you're argument is that I should report these guys because people are being hurt gambling... I could argue that these guys are helping the serious gamblers, because the are saving them from spending even more of their money on gas to travel to the Indian casino an hour away. Which in turn helps to save the environment because those people aren't polluting the environment with their cars... maybe even saving one of the gamblers lives on the return drive home if they've been drinking while gambling... or an innocent person driving on the road. etc... etc... hehe A very different "domino effect".
If you don't have the time, then why not give one of us the town that these reckless cops are operating in? We'll call it into the FBI, save you sometime in your busy, and important life. I'm spineless. ;o) You're pretty funny. I've been hanging around on FChat for only about 6-7 years. So Im kinda new here. Y did read the entire post I wrote, right? This is a relative of a friend of mine. I'm not interested in his relative (a close one) going away to jail too... as he is tied with them. Yeah... it sounds like a movie... huh? I guess this sort of stuff doesn't happen in real life. Anyway... I think I should have just not posted anything about this. Didn't think such a big deal would be made about it. In my local town here we have stuff semi-simular to this going on all the time. I bet you do too, if you live in a town of 300K or more. Remember... my girlfriend is a court reporter... I get to hear of this sort of stuff (not exactly the same, but just as unbelievable) happens weekly. You wouldn't believe what goes through the court systems. If you can think of it, it's being done by someone. More than 1/2 of what happens in my city/county doesn't make the newspapers. I'm sure my city is no different than yours. My city is only 100K people, with 2 cities right next to us of 150K and 90K or so. So that's only 350K people. Believe me... LOTS of stuff happens. To me, this gambling house is not far fetched, & it mystifies me why there are doubters... unless there are naive. Boy, I've heard way worse than this gambling house.
Nick, as I see it you have a problem. You in fact did say that you "Swore to God" this was happening. And you also said you would not report it, nor would you let third parties report it for you, some of whom are law enforcement officers. Here is your problem: Basically, you just admitted various times to you (your self) committing a felony under US law. I suspect you also violated several state and local laws as well. What I would do would be to admit you made the whole thing up. Or, let one of those that offered contact the FBI or the appropriate LE for you. Or hope to gods that in this day of google, this guy does not get caught or if he does that no one ever googles up this exchange and send you to the pokey as well.
